Dr. Navid David Malakouti, MD

I have gone to this provider for years. I have seen him for chemical peels, acne skin treatment and Dysport (which is like botox, but a different brand) over the years. He even did minor surgery on me to remove a cyst. So lets just say, I thought I had a good relationship with this guy. I had it on my chart that Botox does not work on me, and with his recommendation I started to get Dysport back in 2020 with him, which worked great. (I went to him years before these injections for acne treatments.) They always verify what I came in for, the assistant would say Botox? I would say the other brand, she would say Dysport? I would say yes, and that Botox doesn't work for me. But the last 2 times I guess he has accidentally gave me Botox and not Dysport. The first time he made that mistake I never knew about it because I was charged the same Dysport price. The Botox didn't work and I thought maybe my body was getting used to it. I was made aware of the mistake the next time since the lady… up front wanted my rewards account for Botox. I said that's weird I thought Dysport rewards is called Aspire, not Alle. Then she said I had a Botox injection. I said no there must have been a mistake. Then they talked with the assistant and she said I told her Botox and she verified it 2 times, which is a lie. I had a clear conversation with her about how it doesn't work for me. I know she was new and she is looking out for her job, but WTF. Mr. Malakouti said he gave me Botox the last time too, which freaked me out that I'm getting injections with chemicals that I am unaware of. He said if it doesn't work I can come back and get Dysport. I went home upset and told my husband about it. My husband was pissed that this seems like a medical malpractice or a medical negligence. I ended up making an appointment to get Dysport from him a few weeks later after the Botox did not work. 8 months later after my last Dysport injections, I make another appointment for Dysport injections and now Dr. Malakouti does not want to see me anymore and I guess we no longer have a good relationship according to the manager. I have followed him from Arlington to Everett and now Mill Creek each time he moved locations. I am a loyalist... He would tell me his dream to have his own brand of skin care products one day. How he went to a conference and met Dr. Pimple Popper, so lets just say I was really upset that he felt we don't have a good relationship anymore over HIS mistake.

I wish I could give less than a one-star review. I saw Dr. Marakuti for filler for hands. As we discussed the treatment he told me the clinic did not have Radiesse or Restylane, but that Juvederm is a viable alternate filler, and that it would have the same longevity -- about eight months to a year, sometimes two years. I trusted his assessment and decided to get the Juvederm. It has only been five months and my filler has almost completely disappeared, so I did some investigating and discovered that Radiesse and Restylane are the only two FDA approved filler for hands -- Juvederm is not -- and that the clinic does indeed offer these fillers. Additionally, during the entire procedure his manner was quite brusque, which made me nervous about the procedure. Apparently my apprehension was well-warranted because he pierced a nerve while injecting, which was painful enough to make me yelp, and I have since discovered that if the filler is injected deeper than the subcutaneous tissue,… as into a nerve, it will quickly dissipate. I love the clinic I go to, but this doctor is truly to be avoided.
