Navil Sethna, MBCHB

Dr. Navil Sethna, MBChB, is Clinical Director of the Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center and a senior associate in Pain Medicine and Perioperative Anesthesia at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as a professor of anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. Internationally recognized for his expertise in pediatric pain management and anesthesiology, he specializes in chronic pain syndromes, complex regional pain syndrome, pediatric fibromyalgia, headaches, musculoskeletal pain, regional anesthesia, and perioperative pain care for children and adolescents. Dr. Sethna earned his medical degree from the University of Baghdad College of Medicine and completed extensive surgical, anesthesia, and pediatric anesthesia training internationally and at Boston Children’s Hospital, along with research fellowship training at the National Institutes of Health. In addition to his clinical leadership, he directs research focused on pediatric pain rehabilitation, sleep and pain interactions, …pain modulation, and innovative interdisciplinary approaches to chronic pain treatment. He is widely respected for his compassionate, multidisciplinary, family-centered approach and his longstanding contributions to advancing pediatric pain medicine and rehabilitation care.
