Dr. Navin Hukmani, DDS

Biography of Dr. Navin Hukmani, D.D.S
Dr. Hukmani received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from the University of Maryland at College Park. He then attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore Dental School, where he earned his DDS degree with honors. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he completed his residency in Orthodontics.
Dr. Hukmani is an active member of many organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the National Dental Honors Society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon-OKU).
Dr. Hukmani and his wife, Monica, have lived in the metropolitan area for over 25 years. He is a sport enthusiast who enjoys playing tennis, weight training, hiking, and nature photography. He also enjoys going to the movies and listening to all types of …music.
In 2007, Dr. Hukmani voluntarily completed requirements to become a Diplomate for the American Board of Orthodontics. This effort in continuing education is unique in that it applies earlier classroom work and conventional continuing education to the real world of patient care, culminating in the presentation of treatment results for critical review by a panel of nationally-respected peers. This certification includes a written examination, oral exam and case presentations, and he will also undergo rigorous re-examination maintenance at scheduled intervals through his career.
