Dr. Navneet Attri, MD

Outstanding physician. Went above and beyond!

Dr. Attri is a hospitalist making the "wait time" in the office irrelevant. She is a very intelligent, curious, caring doctor capable of handling complex hospital admissions.

My fiancé was admitted to the Sutter Health of Santa Rosa on Sunday morning by Dr. Attri for pancreatitis due to the gallstones and she advised us my fiancée would surgery soon but due to my fiancée health issues we let her know that we would do the surgery but in san Leandro were we live. So after asking us why she did tell us that it would be better to do the surgery while he was in the hospital but again we told her our reasons and she said it would be fine that he would have to stay one night the hospital we would be discharge on Monday. Then Monday came and my fiancé was on the discharge schedule but was never discharge. the nurses didn't understand why he wasn't getting discharge if all his test where good and he was on the discharge list. Since we knew we were staying we asked that nurse if we can speak to the surgeon if he can convince us we would do if not we were going to leave the hospital either way. luckily the surgeon sounded like he knew what he was talking about… and as long he could do the surgery that night we would go through with it and the surgeon was able to and we did it. then the day after the surgery Dr. Attri came to see my fiancée and told us that she had went to talk to the surgeon to try to have him convince of the surgery and that's when she found out he had the surgery done the night before. So right away she discharged us and we were able to go home. I wish that was the end.... I went to the pharmacy coming to find out that the prescription she gave us for the pain was dated for the next day so he was going to be out of pain med for the first day I had to call the nurses stations and let them know what happen. I had to go back to the hospital and pick up a new prescriptions and instead of giving me one whole new one she gave me 4 pills for that day and told me to keep the prescription so I can fill it the next day. So I went to the pharmacy to fill the med again and again she did another mistake instead of putting 20 pills at 10mg she put 2010 so the pharmacist said that they had to call her. So today I called the pharmacist to see if they were able to get a hold of her and of course they couldn't and so again I had to call the nurses and they where able to help me and finally I will be able to get his med. But as a caregiver I never had an issue like this, we felt that we weren't heard that we were pushed into doing the surgery because the DR. Attri was not letting us go so we could do the surgery at home. We were lucky that the surgery went well and no complication happen with all his health issues. I really liked the hospital and if it wasn't for the nurses I wouldn't had accomplish anything.

Mother had not been feeling well for months. When she finally landed in Sutter Dr. Attri was her hospitalist. Mother insisted there was more going on then the obvious symptoms she was having and she insisted Dr. Attri figure it out. Dr. Attri was more then equal to this challenge. After doing several different scans Dr. Attri found the root of the problem that Mother was having and was able to get an accurate diagnosis. She brought in several consultants to support her findings and make sure Mom was receiving the best treatment possible.
