Dr. Nayanesh K. Shah has been saving teeth and brightening smiles for his patients since 1990. Dr. Shah earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious School of Dental and Oral Surgery at Columbia University, NY, in 1987. After dental school, Dr. Shah completed his General Practice Residency at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. Residency training provided him the opportunity to take his education and training he received in dental school to the next level by expanding his skills and interests in all phases of dentistry.
In 1988, Dr. Shah joined the Dental Department at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center as an Attending Dentist where he had the opportunity to treat a large segment of the population, while also being actively involved in instructional and supervisory roles for the General Practice Residency program.
Dr. Shah established his own practice in 1990 in Parsippany, NJ, where, for the past two decades, he has been providing …the best dental care to the neighboring communities.
Dr. Shah has attended numerous continuing education courses, continuums, and seminars to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry. Dr. Shah has a wide range of experience in different areas of dentistry, from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to surgical treatments and root canal treatments.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, Tri-County Dental Society, and Indian Dental Association of North America. As a Tri-County Dental Society member, he has served as an alternate delegate to NJDA.
Born in Tanzania and raised in India, Dr. Shah strongly believes in giving back to the community. He has participated and managed dental services at several health camps organized by local charities. He sponsors cultural events in the community on a regular basis, while also providing dental services to underprivileged population.
Dr. Shah is married to Reena and they live in Montville, NJ, with their beautiful daughters, Sachi and Priya. As a hobby, he is undergoing training in playing the Tabla, an Indian percussion instrument. In his spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys running, music, traveling, reading, and trying different cuisines.
