Dr. Nazir U Khaja

Dr Khaja performed my first colonoscopy 6 months ago and he told me that I would be good for another 10 years since he did not find any polyps. After six months, I was admitted in the hospital due to severe bleeding which caused my CBC count to go down significantly that they had to do a blood transfusion to me. He was called by the hospital to attend to my GI needs since they found out that he was the one who performed my recent colonoscopy. He did the second colonoscopy while I was confined in the hospital to find out the reason for my continuous and severe bleeding. When I woke up in the recovery room, the medical staff told me that the doctor found many polyps and sore on my colon. I've been wanting to reach out to this doctor but he never returns my call. I want to ask him how come I developed these polyps in a short span of time. This means that the first colonoscopy he performed on me was a failure or a mistake. This shows how unprofessional and incompetent this doctor is.… Perhaps he should retire as he is not performing the due diligence of a good doctor and no concern to his patient.

This doctor was contracted by Torrance Memorial to do an endoscopy and a colonoscopy while I was a patient there. His introductory visit was a short as possible. He was backing out the door right after introducing himself. After the procedures he did not speak to me in the recovery room, and I had to have him paged the next afternoon to get his report. He had taken a couple of biopsies, and the delay in getting his report was equally unsatisfactory. He was most unpleasant, and not at all forthcoming with information.
