Dr. Nazli Masud Uppal, MD

Helping veterans now, she told me who is Diagnosed with PTSD, and proud to serve in a combat zone. Those who go to war and defend freedom is a waste. She doesn’t believe in “war”. And that kind of “freedom” that she has now is not for her. “NO THANKS ! “ as she claimed. She had explained that she practice medicine private sector, three times while examining me. Wow, she a public servant now. Getting paid with taxed dollars. I felt very humiliated towards my patriotism. ( Afghanistan war veteran and deployed 4 times). In addition my grandfather, father, brother and my daughter have or are serving for this great country. She has the freedom to practice medicine because of the sacrifices of military service members past and present. Because of my belief, I believe she will retaliate against many veterans! Obviously, she doesn’t have an education in political science. Just Interested in a paycheck.

DO NOT visit this doctor. Rude, unprofessional. She yelled at me, called me a liar and said she did not have time to see me, she should be home at this time. This was after I had waited several hours to see her.

I was wait in the lobby for 25 minutes. The Dr. Did not even said "hello ". She asked a question and didn't want to hear the answer. Sad test I was asking for very expensive, so it is better to start a treatment and if it will not work to take the diagnostic test. In my opinion the diagnosis going before the treatment.

Dr. Uppal is outstanding, irreplaceable, intelligent, caring, thorough and so very easy to talk to. She had been our doctor for about 10 years and she has kept my husband and myself in great health. We will always remember her with kindness, love and admiration. She has left her medical practice and we are lost without her!

It was a pleasure to have Dr Nazli Uppal as my GP. She listened carefully and took extra time to know the overall picture in order to make an intelligent diagnosis.I am very happy and impressed with her. I have called her at odd hours and she has always been available. I have not come across a better, more kinder, intelligent, competent and professional Doctor as her and I would recommend her to all my friends. Finally got a great Doc after years of changing Docs!!!!!

Dr.Uppal is a worst doctor I have ever encountered. Poor diagnosis, lack of manners , over confident, impolite. Wasted my time and energy with her, had to go somewhere else in the end. Wonder how some people have given her good reviews!!!

Everything appears professional with Dr. Uppal as other feedback indicates. Her office is very courteous and spends time listening to the patient. Everything is fine if you are in good health and just need routine checkups. But you expect a doctor to identify and diagnose issues and take care of the patients when they fall sick. Dr. Uppal lets her patients down when it happens. Her promptness, coureous staff and follow ups do not matter if she can not accurately diagnose and treat her patients. Unfortunately a patient does not find it the competency of a doctor until something bad happens. Don't wait until then.

Really like Dr Uppal. She is one of the best doctors I have had in San Antonio. My only issue is with getting prescription refill updates at my pharmacy. My pharmacy faxes over refill requests but it takes several days and sometimes more than one phone call to get the Dr Uppal's office to respond to the pharmacies requests. Because of this delay in getting refills, I have missed medication that I should be taking daily.

Dr. Uppal became my primary care physician in 2007 when I relocated to San Antonio. She is a thorough, intelligent, and intellectual physician. Her experience and background in tropical medicine in third world countries provides her with an additional knowledge and skills especially in my case since I travel overseas on consulting work frequently. I am a male patient and have no problems discussing male health issues with her and she is very intelligent in all fields of our discussions. I would rate her practice a five star.
