Neal Bruce Christopher Carr

I presented to the ER with chest pain and hypertension. My systolic BP was over 200! Dr. Carr performed a standard cardiac work up and ruled out an MI. He also ordered a head CT which was negative. I expressed my concerns to him as I have 6 coronary stents, and have had re stenosis of the LAD stent several times as well as an MI despite having a normal EKG and a normal initial troponin which did become elevated later. He did not admit me for observation. He made the comment "the only reason I am taking this extra time to talk to you is, because I know you're concerned, so tell me your concerns." I told him my concerns calmly, and he said angrily, "You're not getting admitted. I have nothing left to say!" Then, he stormed out through the curtain in a very dramatic manner. I am not even writing this review to question his work up. I have seen various standards of care. He stated that he felt that I was stable and recommended outpatient follow-up. My issue with Dr. Carr is his poor, rude… bedside manner. I hope that he improves prior to becoming an attending!
