Dr. Neal D. Goldberg, MD

I wanted to take my time before writing a review so that I could provide details about the entire process, including recovery. I am now five months post-op and hope that this review proves useful for anyone considering using Dr. Neal Goldberg for cosmetic surgery. If you a TLDR person, let me give you the punchline… DEFINITELY GO WITH DR. GOLDBERG!!! Now, for the people who want more information…I work in healthcare so believe that I can provide an honest opinion about everything from professionalness during consultation, to touchup of scars post-op. I am also a person who by all accounts is extremely well education and therefore asked easily 100+ questions, so can comment on bedside manner. Again, TLDR, 5 stars across the board. I had major work done: Gynecomastia surgery with excessive fat located to the sides, abdominal liposuction, flank (love handle) liposuction, and liposuction under my chin. What was my experience? 1. Consult was extremely professional, where we covered… what I have a slight bleeding disorder, so extra care would be necessary in planning pre-op procedures. We discussed what I hoped to achieve, what my plan was for not putting additional weight on, and we discussed the steps of the procedure as they relate to competing liposuction techniques. This was an area where my OCD to know every aspect of what would be done to my body caused me to ask dozens of questions. A consult normally takes 20 minutes. He was with me over an hour. He grasped how detail oriented I am and carefully explained everything. At the conclusion of the consultation, he gave me a quote. Let me take a moment to talk about the cost. I met with several surgeons using various liposuction techniques and in all instances, no matter how many areas I wished to work on, Dr. Goldberg was less expense. TALK ABOUT VALUE FOR MONEY. Shop around and you will see just how great his pricing is. Also, don’t expect him to try to sell you on procedures. He even tried to talk me out of doing my chin because he thought the value proposition was worse than my other areas of interest, though he understood I still desired to do the area. 2. Once I booked my procedure, I sat down with his staff (Who are amazing…especially Colleen) and reviewed all pre-op requirements, including the fact that he wanted to speak with my PCP to create a plan to handle my bleeding issues pre/during/post procedure. 3. On the day of the procedure the entire staff was great about checking everything and making me feel comfortable. The surgery went well, and he even managed to liposuction more fat than we originally anticipated (HUGE WIN IN MY MIND!!!) without creating any unsightly body contours. 4. Because I had the bleeding issue, he requested I come in the next morning prior to his next scheduled surgery. While not normal, he wanted to look at all the wounds/drains because I am an unusual case. Everything looked good and I was able to recoup over the next week. 5. On my return visit, everything looked extremely good and I could already see the significant changes in my physique. (I was very pleased). Note that I did have a lot of bruising, partly because of the extensive work I had done, and partly because I am a bleeder. When we removed my drains, he noted that in 5-6 months he was going to want to do a local anesthetic, cutting, and re-stitching of the two locations where I had drains because the top had healed down and the bottom had been held open, so it wasn’t as clean a scar as he would have liked. 6. While I was healing, I constantly had questions about the sensations I was experiencing while the nerves were regenerating. I would email them to Colleen and I would either receive a response email or a call within the day. Dr. Goldberg really understood how I approached the surgery, and his bedside manner was nothing short of exceptional. 7. Fast forward 2 months, on my follow-up visit he decided he wanted to bring down two of my scars by injecting a small amount of steroid to break up the scar tissue. He really was a perfectionist and I greatly appreciated it. Within a few days those scars were completely flat. 8. In my final visit, 5 months post-op, he performed the re-stitching of the two locations where I had drains. They look super clean and are smooth to the touch. The man is an artist. Having the surgery was one of the best decisions of my life. If I ever need more work done, I am calling Dr. Goldberg first. I’m unbelievably pleased with the outcome and hope that this review of Dr. Goldberg helps at least one person with their cosmetic procedure decision.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Goldberg and his staff, especially his nurse and anesthesiologist! I love my results!

Dr. Goldberg and his staff were absolutely amazing. I went in for a breast augmentation consultation with Dr. Goldberg and gave me a great recommendation for what would look best for my body and I’ve never been happier! I absolutely recommend him for anyone looking to enhance themselves.

Dr. Goldberg is a great plastic surgeon. At his office, you see him not his assistants. You can feel that he takes a huge amount of pride in what he does. You will be asked to come back for follow-ups after surgery and he will address your concerns there if necessary. I did not think I'd need plastic surgery until I gave birth to my twin girls. My back pain was getting worse every day and resulted in me looking for a plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck surgery with diastasis repair. Although the surgery was predominantly for my back pain, a tummy tuck is considered an elective cosmetic surgery which is not covered in my health insurance plan. I was pretty discouraged after meeting with other plastic surgeons due to the estimate they gave me until I met Dr. Goldberg. I think his pricing was reasonable and his office staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are someone who is like me looking for plastic surgery but worrying about you may not be able to afford what you need, I… would recommend you to get a complimentary consultation.

Dr. Goldberg and his staff were consistently professional, kind, and helpful from the entire process from start to finish. I was a complicated patient for various reasons and he and his staff (especially Colleen!) really went out of their way to make my surgery happen under significant time restraints. Laura and Alex were also very helpful and kind whenever I interacted with them. I am thrilled with the results of my procedure and would absolutely reccommend.

have confirmed myself why Dr. Golberg has an impecable 5 star review. He totally earns it and Beyond! He is a master of masters plastic surgeon and based on my amazing results ( 2 weeks after my procedure) I have come to the conclusion that he is also an artist with great vision and sense of aesthetics that were applied in a fully tailored manner to my needs and my body. Totally professional, straightforward and clear since the beginning. I also experienced how careful and caring he is. I’m so glad I found him! As a Westchester NY resident I found a lot of options online. I didn’t have any reference so I did an overall assessment of different alternatives myself. I was afraid because I hadn’t done this before - it is a big decision to make without any recommendation. Personally, I don’t care about celebrity endorsements. I just wanted to find a doctor with excellent credentials with a story/messages that speak to me. When I read about him, his staff, reviews and his practice, I… knew that he was the doctor I wanted to visit. I decided to make an appointment and since the very first second, you can perceive how nice and welcoming his staff is on the phone. All his staff is amazing. You will love each of them. This is the second time in my life I write a review. Hope my review is helpful to you as they were very helpful to me. You can trust Dr. Golberg. You will be in the best hands. Doctor Goldberg gave my confidence back.

Dr Goldberg brilliantly performed my bilateral axillary breast tissue removal. I previously had the same procedure performed by another Westchester plastic surgeon who had been featured in Westchester Magazine’s "Best Of" issue with, dare I say, disastrous results. I won’t be fooled by again. My recommendation is do your research, read reviews, view the before/after gallery, then hightail it in to Dr Goldberg for a consult. You won’t be sorry. Dr Goldberg and his staff were professional, friendly, informative, and most importantly COMPETENT! I couldn’t be more pleased with the aesthetic outcome. It’s as close to perfect as I could’ve hoped and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Thank you Dr Goldberg!

Dr. Goldberg is an exceptional surgeon. I had several procedures prior to meeting him and only wish I had met him earlier. He is very skilled, much better than what you would normally get in Manhattan. He is well mannered and receptive while providing excellent consultation advice. His office staff is very knowledgeable and caring. They are prompt to return calls and e-mails. Dr. Goldberg also returns calls promptly when called post operatively. Office runs smoothly. No nonsense. I will be referring Dr. Goldberg to friends and family for years to come.

Cannot say enough about the professional, warm care received by Dr.Goldberg and his staff. He is easy to talk to, kind, thorough and wildly talented. Felt listened to and well cared for throughout procedure and follow up appointments.
