He completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Lurz completed a radiology residency program, serving as Chief Resident, at the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, West Virginia in 1989. Dr. Lurz completed a Body Imaging Fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska. He has received the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award 2001-2010.
