Dr. Neal Silverstein, MD

This man, may his name be as blessed as those he helped, while a young(ish) doctor at Cook County Medical Hospital in Chicago, back in the '70s, along with my best friend, saved the live of my first born, Maria Rosa Ortiz. She lived because this doctor did not give up and kept trying to help an new born girl who wasted away before the eyes of her young parents. She now has a husband and two daughters because of a doctor that in spite of setbacks and despair, mostly on our part, gave us our child back. Thanx a bunch doc! Never forgotten

Both of my boys have been going there since birth. I really love his bedside manor and my kids adore him. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Absolutely terrible, this poor rating is for the staff not the doctor. The doctor is good. The staff are rude, incompetent, and just generally not nice people who act annoyed at having to do their job. They can't even handle paperwork correctly, medical records are extremely important as we all know so don't make the same mistake as I did in thinking they could properly handle a folder of paper.

Kept trying to get an appointment for my sick daughter (for 3 days) and they kept telling me she would be fine and to ride it out at home. She was hardly holding anything down and by day 3 was SO dehydrated they said there was nothing they could do at that point, and to take her to urgent care. The urgent care doctor asked why she had not been perscribed any anti-nausia medication or seen her regular doctor yet and I told her what I was told by his staff. She wasn't to impressed. Dr. Silverstine is a good doctor, but maybe his dance card is a little to full if he doesn't have time to see people. I am finding someone new ASAP.

We have been blessed to have Dr. Silverstein as our children's pediatrician since we left the hospital 8 1/2 years ago with our twins. He is absolutely fantastic! Every need or concern he has addressed and has been right on each and every time! His staff is kind and considerate as well. We tell all we know about him and will continue to do so! Thank you Dr. Silverstein!!
