Dr. Neal R Warshoff, DO

Disclaimer: I Have never received treatment from Dr. Warshoff. They refused to see me. I was referred to Dr. Neal Warshoff by my Primary Doctor. At my first appointment, after I filled out all the required paperwork, Dr. Warshoff's office business manager informed me that Dr. Warshoff would not honor my appointment and would not see me because I declined to allow them to keep my credit card number, expiration date, and security code on file. This, despite the fact that I presented, and they photocopied, my TWO health insurance provider identification cards. The business manager who was condescending and uncooperative, took offense when I pointed out that Dr. Warshoff's demand for a credit card as collateral while the patient is properly insured, is not only unnecessary but it may also be discriminatory and unfair to the segment of the population that for whatever reason don't have access to credit, or credit cards. Dr. Neal Warshoff's motto: No Credit Card? NO Healthcare!

Horrible service. They made me leave a credit card in file. I was charged for a test before I got there. They don’t explain any charges but just charge your credit card and say that it will be applied to your deductible. I called after 9 months when I got another charged and they said again it would be applied to your deductible. I was having a discussion about the charges and the lady simply just hanged up the phone on me.

If it were possible to give a big fat ZERO I would. I was asked to leave my credit card on file so that if there were any addtional charges that insurance did not cover that they would charge card. When I questioned this practice I was told that it is not uncommon to do so. I have 4 children and have been to many doctors, not once was this EVER asked of me. I was then told that my co-pay would be $100.00 When I informed the front desk person that for innetwork specialist my co-pay was $55 I was told I was wrong. After I called (they refused) the insurance company and confirming the $55.00 co-pay they failed to except any responsibility at all. I asked for an apology and was asked to leave (now thats a first)

I refused to provide them my Social Security number and authorization to auto-bill my credit card which they wanted me to fill out on a paper form, so they cancelled my appointment and said good-bye. The office manager refused to give me my paperwork and said the billing person would call me - no call yet. They are keeping paper copies of records with Social Security numbers and credit card numbers, but insist that "we have a good firewall" so nobody can get the info. Wrong! Dr. Warshoff has been caring for me for about a year and is a relatively nice doctor, and seems at least competent. His office manager is a horrible rude person and based on her comments, I question if the office is compliant with HIPAA regulations regarding document storage and information security. It is apparent she does not understand 21st century medical record keeping and the risks their office are posing to their patients.

He missed diagnosed me based on the breathing test. He told me I have moderate to severe copd with emphysema I do not. my breathing is pretty good for a seventy year old man. I exercise regularly with no issues. I was not instructed to breath in the manner you are supposed to by the staff regarding the breathing test. He did not believe me that I had no breathing issues. His staff needs instruction on administering the breathing test

They will need your credit card, unlike any other practice, BEFORE they see you. They will administer whatever test they see fit, and if your insurance company doesn’t cover it your credit card WILL be charged! Doesn’t matter if you needed the test, wanted the test, you will have a massive bill that won’t be covered by insurance. Completely disgusting, there’s no other office that demands your credit card or they won’t see you!

Dr. Warshoff is very thorough and has a good bedside manner.

He's very compassionate and doesn't make you feel like he's doing you a favor by seeing you. Listens to what you have to say. I would highly recommend him.
