He didn't even try to find out what type of diabetes I had!

Dr. Weiss has been my endocrinologist for 26 years. He saved my life with his rapid response when my ER physician was not to be found and I was close to going into DKA again. My high risk pregnancy went extraordinarily smoothly with A1C levels near perfect and weight gain within normal range. My quarterly visits are always met with the latest in diabetes equipment, and training, if needed. He is caring, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of diabetes and the many potential pitfalls that we all can fall into from time to time. All emergency calls have been handled immediately. I have never waited for a call back. He takes his time with all patients and there may be a bit of wait time but this shows that he doesn't rush anyone through. I highly recommend Dr. Ned Weiss.

Dr. Weiss has been my endocrinologist for 26 years. He saved my life due to his rapid response while I was being treated at a hospital where the ER physician couldn't be found. He kept my sugars in exceptional control during my high risk pregnancy and always responds to emergency calls no matter how late. The office visits are met with genuine care, compassion and knowledgeable advice. He may run behind schedule; however, that shows the time he takes to cover all bases with his patients. I never felt rushed or ignored with any concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Weiss to all with this very challenging disease.

Waste of time!!! I wish I could tell my insurance company not to pay him. Co-pay reimbursement, please?? I'm sorry but discrediting other health care professionals really is not needed during a visit. His beside manner did not phase me a bit, however you have a patients blood work in front of your face that displays there is an issue, but there is nothing wrong with you??? Come on! I agree, if you are overweight let the truth be told in fact the truth is welcomed. Please the ratings say it all. There of course is better out there.

Texted on his phone for a majority of the visit, had about a waiting period of over an hour to see him.

I have read several negative comments about Dr. Weis and just have to laugh. The people complaining just don't want to hear the truth, and blame the Dr. for their issues. I was fat and he told me so. My blood sugar was out of control and he told me so. My health was not properly managed and guess what - he told me so. That's an excellent trait to have in your physician; someone who will tell you what you are doing wrong and what you SHOULD do in a straight forward and honest manner. Yes, the wait is sometimes frustrating but that shows he is spending time with his patients and is not rushing them through. I've been with Dr. W for about 15 years now, have been diabetic for 40 and he is one of the best endocrinologists I've had.

Dr. Weiss has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever met. He is condescending and disrespectful. The things that come out of his mouth would make you shake your head in disbelief. He ALWAYS runs at least an hour late and comes into the appointment room totally unprepared. Dr. Weiss is a narcissist and should be AVOIDED at all costs.

Absolutely the worst doctor visit I ever experienced. I had to wait months for the appointment, wait to see the doctor was way too long, the doctor was probably the most obnoxious and arrogant person I ever met. Told me that I dont have a thyroid problem because he didnt look at my medications! I take 150 mg of Synthroid. Told me I was fat because I eat fast food (ironically, I dont) and called me a liar when I told him I eat pretty healthy. Told me that someone with my weight issues should only eat fruit and vegetables unless I use his diet. Said I would get all the protien and carbs I need from the veggies! Granted, I need to loose 40 lbs but he was talking to me as if I was the fastest person he ever met! He clearly had not read my chart. Didnt ask any questions about my lifestyle but made horrible assumptions. Said I eat "cholent and red meat" because I am Jewish (again, ironically, I dont)!I was shocked! I never had a bad experience with a doctor before. Even worse was when… the staff came into the room to discuss another patient, TWICE! Both times Dr Weiss asked the name and both times he made derogatory comments about the patient! Serious HIPAA violations!! I should have realized before the appointment that it was bizzarre place. The paperwork clearly states that if you call after hours and the doctor deems it not what he would call an emergency than you will be billed a large amount (I dont remember the exact amount but I remember being a bit taken aback). Considering filing a complaint!

I have been with Dr. Weiss for over twenty three years, his concern for his patients is the best I have ever experienced and his bedside manner is something all patients should experience from other doctors. Anne C Ritchie
