Dr. Neda Vessali, DDS

I went to Dr. Vessali for a consult on Mini dental implants, needing 6 mini implants on the lower jaw to help hold a lower denture in place. Dr. Vessalli was very knowledgeable and brought up a couple of things my other dentist never mentioned so I asked her to send in pre-determinations to Blue Cross and Aetna, she was sure her pricing would be a little better then my current dentist. The first problem was her office staff said they did not contract with Aetna even though it is listed on their website. I mentioned that to Dr. Vessali and she said yes they were contracted with Aetna. I already new my pricing for out of pocket from pre- D's at my current dentist would be appropriately $1750.00, so when the pre-D's came back from Dr. Vessali her insurance girl told me my out of pocket would be $3600.00 I knew something was not right and after a 10 minute discussion with the insurance girl and her swearing her figures were right I left their office. I then called Blue Cross and spoke… with one of their dental techs, she agreed something was wrong and offered to call ENVY DENTAL and speak to the insurance girl who would not listen to reason. After a couple of calls and a conversation with Dr. Vessali's expert, Blue Cross expert figured out that the insurance clerk was not writing off what Blue Cross stated to be wrote off. This is AGAINST the law for a practice to ignore the write off amounts!! So FYI to anybody that has had insurance claims with Envy Dental and their insurance clerk , I suggest you go over your EOB's and check what they charged you. I feel bad for Dr. Vessali who is getting a new practice going and has such an uninformed insurance clerk in her office!!! I was looking forward to doing business there and even after Blue Cross told them they were doing insurance claims wrong they never bothered to call me and say she made a mistake. I would make sure that insurance clerk was out of my office!!
