Dr. Neela Kumari Patel, MD

This is an excellent doctor for the genuinely aged. I found myself being assessed as if I were rather disabled. I was tested for dementia, deafness, vision, gait, and asked about such things as urinary continence. My blood pressure, which was in the 140/80 range was ignored. The doctor felt that most routine tests were unnecessary. Blood was drawn but no follow-up appointment to discuss results was scheduled. I felt like I was regarded as peculiarly healthy (which I am) but on the slippery slope to meet the Grim Reaper, therefore, not worth testing in a routine way. I would not recommend this clinic unless you are genuinely, really geriatric, fumbling around and wetting your pants. I was not quite ready for this. Bless you if you are. We'll all join you someday!

I am 90 years old and a retired nurse and must say this is the first time I have found a doctor who is so kind, caring and empathetic. She always wears a smile on her face and is there for you no matter what. She is so popular and in demand everyone wants to see her. She hires the best her whole team of doctors, nurse practitioners and physician attendants and all her office staff are as wonderful and great as she is. She always tells me we always hire the best, "we are all here as this is our purpose, it is a pleasure to take care of you."

Dr. Patel has the true gift of being straightforward while at the same time encouraging.

Changed from a Dr. that retired and we loved. My mom needed a new caring specialist and I know we have found one in Dr. Patel. What a great doctor and staff based on our first visit. She was wonderful as she worked with my mom and was always asking for my help with answers.

This is the best doctor office I have been to ever. All the staff are so friendly and kind. They keep you informed of how long it is going to take. Go through all your medications. They also have a person who helps with caregiver and provider needs.

It was the holidays and we thought the doctor's office will be closed, but their office was open for 4 days during the holidays. That was such a relief for us. The office was busy and full during the holidays. For me, it save an admission to the hospital and visit to the ER as the doctor and her staff were kind and compassionate to stay back and work the holidays.

She is always helpful, patiently talks listens to you. I go with a list of concerns and she will say "show me your list, let me make sure I have taken care of all of your concerns before you leave today." My husband is her patient too and so is my sister and my friend we all love her and her office, all staff are good, Julia, Esenia, Christy all of them very good.

She always listens to you, she has time for families. Even if it is late, she always returns phone calls. My mother has dementia, and I get worried to take her to the hospital, Dr. Patel has given me her cell phone number so I can access her anytime. I have called her too, when I needed help. She is very kind and caring towards all her patients and staff. Her clinic staff love her and recommend her as the BEST!!

I feel so happy that I have found a kind, caring doctor at last. She is patient, and all her office staff are great starting from her receptionist to her nurses. They are very prompt in returning phone calls and in getting us same day appointments. I even do not need to go to emergency when I am sick, I call her office number and I get directly admitted to the Christus hospital downtown. Excellent care! My children are also happy that I now have a team of great doctors, my doctor is the BEST!!!

She takes time with the patient. Dr. Patel is a good listener, she explains what is going on gives me a choice in my care. I don't feel rushed when I go to see her, before going to her I was going round and round in circles seeing other doctors, but with her now, it is all my health care in one place. Her office staff are very friendly and always helpful and pleasant.
