Dr Anand is excellent

Dr. Anand is very knowledgeable, he takes time to explain anything I should be aware from the scoliosis surgery he performed 11 years ago. I am so happy Dr. Anand is my brilliant doctor; I refer people to him whenever the situation and subject comes up.

After 10 back surgeries with no success, I was referred to Dr Anand. He was able to fix my back where today, after 3 years, I have no pain in it. I am very happy with the results of his surgery! Now today, I am facing neck surgery and he is the one I am going to trust to fix it

I believe Dr. Anand to be one of the finest Spine surgeons in the US. Dr. Anand's skill has saved me from paralysis due to stenosis and bone spurs.

Dr. Anand operated on my lower spine last November...and now I'm free of the pain there and also my sciatic nerve no longer hurts. A Dentist friend of ours is also scheduled for surgery with Dr. Anand now. Our family highly recommends him!!!!

It was the worst experience of my life. We scheduled an appointment at 330 to discuss my father's upcoming surgery . There was four of us place in a small examining room where we preceded to wait two hours for the doctor . I was trying to patient not upset my father but finally walked out of the room to realize all the clerical staff had left and locked the doors. Not one person had the decency to inform us that the doctor was attending to other patients , which would have been understandable I finally saw a nurse walking by and asked her when my father would be seen . Terrible service if I were at a tire store or insurance company my business surely would have been lost . When the doctor finally arrived he gave a half hearted apology not really acknowledging how uncomfortable it was sitting in that hot room for two hours. If it was me I would found another doctor but my dad wanted to stay with him. He doesn't realize his poor service reflects poorly on Cedar Sinai and will be a… traumatic lasting memory for my family. I will personally never use his services again.

I am a 72 year old male from South Carolina. I was in great health, except for my spine. I developed scoliosis and had lost 5" in height over a 7 year period. Prior to finding Dr. Anand, I had 3 spine surgeries, over a 4 year period, by noted neurosurgeons, without any relief. I started a nationwide search seeking a surgeon to help me, for my quality of life had almost disappeared. I found Dr Anand on Becker's List of the 100 Best Spine Surgeons and while I read about each one, I kept coming back to Dr. Anand. One big issue was the fact that Dr Anand had perfected a major fusion surgery, without cutting through the back's muscle mass. I met with Dr Anand October, 2011 and had a 9 disc fusion from T9 to S1 during January, 2012. I was able to fly back home 17 days after my surgery. I recently returned to Beverly Hills and met with Dr. Anand. A CT Scan revealed that my new bone development, at the fusion site, was excellent and that I was healing extremely well. At one time I was… on 180 mg of Oxycontin daily. Today, I take 30 mg and feel that soon I will be able to reduce this dosage to 20 mg. While I will always have some degree of back pain, Dr Anand preformed a miracle surgery and I will always be extremely thankful. Dr Anand's staff were above perfect from the time that I first called inquiring about an appointment to my recent visit and his assistant, Sheila is nothing more than fantastic. In closing, I found the Cedars-Sinai hospital to be the best that I have ever seen. My care was excellent and I always felt that I was receiving the best of care. Thank you Dr. Anand !!!

Dr. Anand is truly a phenomenal surgeon.My wife & I are very grateful that we were referred to him for my care.I had a very rare condition that could have resulted in paralysis.Due to Dr. Anand's care I am walking today!Not only did I have confidence in his ability to operate on my spine..I am impressed by his genuine compassion & his commitment to be so thorough in uncovering the root of my problem & resolving it with great care.His assistant Sheila is wonderful,too!During my surgery, which went over-time due to the unexpected findings,Sheila took care to visit my wife in the waiting area & explain what was taking place,reassuring her that I was stable & that the surgery was going well.After the surgery I've received excellent care & am encouraged by my prognosis.Also, Dr. Anand worked with 2 other surgeons,Dr. Baron & Dr. Johnson, to resolve my unique problem & I am forever incredibly grateful for everything they did for me!Thank you Dr. Anand for being a blessing to me and my wife!

Cured my sciatica due to a ruptured / herniated / slipped disc with a one hour out-patient surgery. Minimally invasive procedure (2" incision) meant very quick recovery (back to the office in 6 days and 80% recovered in 2 weeks).
