Dr. Neelam Taneja Uppal, MD

Stay away! She was giving me vancomycin by iv when I didn't even need it. When I was getting a treatment one day I noticed the bag was expired. Pretty scary people like this are able to be in business!

After seeing approximately 70 doctors, over four decades, and abused with the "in your head", which has become such a popular non-diagnosis with so many of them, I was dying by the time I found Dr. Uppal. She found out what was really wrong with me, right away. She took the time to find out. I've seen many other lives she has saved, besides mine, in that little office in Pinellas Park, Florida. I wish she was still here. My youngest daughter now has stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma, and wasn't diagnosed until stage 4, because of the same problem with doctors. They would never listen. I wish Dr, Uppal was still around here. She would know which tests to run for Brianna (and not be afraid to run them...), and how to treat her. Brianna was born with congenital Lyme Disease and co infections, which her doctors deny and have denied for years, and have refused to test her, over and over for years, also. Nobody around here knows (or cares) about these horrible infections. Sure do miss Dr. Uppal. She… would be the miracle my daughter needs now. Age 19 is too young to die such a terrible, agonizing death. She now is septic, and they won't do anything for her...blaming everything on the tumor...denial of antibiotics/antifungals. We need Dr. Uppal here in a big way.

This woman is so unethical and disgusting she has no right being a Infectious Disease Specialist or any kind of Doctor!

dr. uppal went to her office to care for other people after she had a medical procedure done on her self she is always thinking of her patients i really like to go to her as a doctor she spends time with her patients, and her patients all love her and she is very educated she is has seen kids before in her office, she is a internal medicine doctor and infectious disease doctor as well and she understand some natural medicine too . i would refer her to anyone i know.

She is a life saver. She can diagnose problems that many other doctors cannot. I came to her after being mis diagnosed by 2 other doctors. She treated me and I am fine now. On another ocassion she realized an emergency situation and got me operated right away. She saved me from meningitis and getting blind.The best doctor I have met so far.

Under her care now for 2 years. My condition has cleared because of her attention and knowledge. God Bless HER!!

It was brought to my attention by a couple other local physicians that Dr. Uppal tends to administer IV medications of an unknown origin and caution should be taken prior to accepting such treatments. Personally I haven't experienced anything of this sort yet but I was strongly warned to beware.

If you go to the Clearwater office, you will experience a mess of disorganization and unprofessional staff. This doctor won't take time to talk to you and is very rude. If she sends you for lab work, try to get the results. It could take months if ever as in our case, somehow they were lost and they won't call the lab for another copy. You will find numbers that have been disconnected, staff that hangs up on you and if your waiting on the doctor to call, good luck with that one too. What you go for, you may never get an answer to. If you spend your money to go and see her because your desperate like we were, you could be in for a big disappointment. I don't know where all these good ratings come from, much be from her real office on Park street.

Like the previous posts about Dr Uppal, she saved my life. After years and years of being untreated and told it was all in my head this wonderful compassionate doctor got down to what the real issue is. She went over my medical records and did all of the right testing. Now I feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel! Thank you Dr Uppal!
