Dr. Neelam Varshney, MD

I cannot thank Dr. Varshney enough for what she has done for me. The kindness and compassion she showed me during one of the most difficult times in my life was exactly what I needed. Her experience and knowledge put me at ease at times when nothing else worked. With her guidance I started to feel better when I thought there was no hope. She provided me with the support that I needed to get strong enough to work on my problems. I am eternally grateful for Dr. Varshney.

Dr. Varshney is the most educated psychiatrist I have ever met! During my first in person visit she took the time to really get to know me. She asked about my medical and family history, and my hospitalization visits. She took the time to explain to me the side effects of the medications I was currently taking (prescribed by my former psychiatrist) and she said I didn’t have to be on all of those medications. We are currently fine tuning and taking our time to incorporate a medication regimen that works for me while slowly weening me off the other medications. I appreciate all of the knowledge Dr. Varshney has shared with me thus far, and I will continue to see her via zoom for as long as needed. Thank you Dr. Varshney!

Dr. Varshney is an excellent psychiatrist. She is sensitive and caring. She listens to her patients and treats them with respect and dignity. She understand very well about psychiatric issue and addresses one by one thoroughly. I highly recommend her to anyone for their psychiatric and addiction problems

I'm trying to avoid all clichés etc, at the same time I believe in old fashioned honesty; I have to give credit to Dr Varshney, she's real positive exception in today's world and makes time for you whenever you need it, not other way around. I don't know how she does it ,I'm not a person with many words but she has really opened my eyes in many ways and I wish I could have met her sooner, one other thing you can count on, she's very loyal and supportive, a little guardian angel we all need some point of our life.

I went to see Dr. Varshney at a very crucial point in my life, where I was needing help to go forward and overcome depression. Very quickly I realized how fortunate I was to have found such a bright, competent, compassionate and understanding doctor. She mapped out a plan that took me to success and I am happy to be able to say that I no longer live with depression or fear it. She taught me to live every day to the fullest and enjoy my life!

I went back and forth for too long already, writing and re-writing. Nothing that I laid on the paper looked fine and I had a hard time finding the right words that would best describe someone so special. There are over 7.6 billion people, over 7.6 billion unique individuals, none the same, although life experiences seem so familiar to many of us, make us relate or keep us from relating to one another at all… From all these people, this number of souls roaming this place we call home as we know it, what are the chances to find one that we can connect to, that knows you better than you probably know yourself, that understands you better than you understand yourself, that knows exactly what to say at the right time, that’s there for you when nobody else is, someone that has the power to lift you up when you’re at the bottom, someone who sees things when you cannot, someone who can say exactly what you think when the words don’t seem to come out. How does one describe someone so… special? General descriptions such as “kind, compassionate, great listener, the best work ethic I’ve seen, care for the patients to a degree that one wouldn’t find in 99% of the doctors, spiritual healer, life coach and mentor”…All of these are descriptions, but what’s behind each one of them, the actions, the experience; that’s the essence of every word describing Dr. Varshney’s care for her patients. From the moment we met for the first time, I felt in my heart a connection to Dr. Varshney that I have never felt towards anyone, except my family members. I knew instantly that she’s the one person whom I can put my life in her hands, let her inside my mind without any fear of being hurt, judged…or the worst fear of some of us, being thrown in a hospital. There have been so many instances, more than I can count when my life was hanging by a very thin thread, ready to break at any moment. Those were the moments when Dr. Varshney’s actions, care and compassion were able to bring back to light what was into a bottomless hole of darkness. There wasn’t a single time when I called, that she wasn’t there for me, during a crisis or just a regular day. I find this funny now, after all the work we’ve been doing together so far, but there were times when all I wanted was to hear her voice. That on its own had such a calming effect, that none of the anti-anxiety medications were able to achieve so fast. Dr. Varshney, you are “the best medication” ever! There was this instance when she was on vacation overseas, and I remember calling her every single day, just to hear her voice. We can probably all agree that most of the therapists, psychiatrists, doctors…maybe even us would find this very annoying. Most would place an answering machine on, enjoy their vacation and deal with patients when they return. “If you have an emergency call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.”, the typical line on doctor’s answering machines. That’s not the case with Dr. Varshney. Vacation, or not, day or 1AM she’s always been there for me. Once she got to know me, almost as I know myself, or even better…she was the one checking on me, because she knew that I wasn’t going to ask for help. This is not liability, doctor fear, concern for their practice or license. This is the most genuine form of care that I’ve ever received from a person and it has always reflected in the actions she took, the tone of her voice, her positivity and warmth. In each of these instances she was my guardian angel. I’ve always imagined angels in the forms depicted in the religious books, but I’ve realized that angels exist amongst us, in human form. I have been blessed to have encountered one in my lifetime. That’s Dr.Varshney. Knowing how much she truly cares for each one of us, her patients, I’m sure many of them feel the same way too. Dr.Varshney taught me what gratitude means, what living a quality life feels like, what peace and acceptance feel like. With her gentle guidance, warmth, the wonderful safety feeling that she was able to instill in me, Dr. Varshney took me to such a higher level of consciousness that I never even knew it existed. “I ONCE WAS BLIND, BUT NOW I SEE” describes the best what she was able to do with someone who didn’t see anything but darkness for the most part of their life. I could go on and write a whole novel describing each situation in which she was able to bring into light only with her voice, someone who was at the end of the rope. Each time it happens, it amazes me, and it makes me wonder how on Earth is anyone able to do that? How can anyone have such a high energy that can flood a dark spirit and break the wall? Dr. Varshney is one of a kind, a very rare precious person, that’s hard to come by in the medical world, let alone in personal settings. Dr. Varshney is not a simple MD, she’s someone way beyond that, someone who can help you reach higher steps in your life, someone who’s able to heal wounds that have never healed on their own, she’s someone who can help you reach your full potential in this lifetime. Dr. Varshney is a SPIRITUAL HEALER, A BRIGHT SPIRIT THAT SHINES ITS LIGHT AND HEALS WHATEVER IT TOUCHES. Whoever is blessed to work with Dr. Varshney, will certainly receive the highest quality of care. She's wonderful professional who goes beyond extra mile in trying to help you. Don't let her young age or exceptional beauty to fool you, she's very,very intelligent, certainly knows how to help you with guidelines how to improve your quality of life. The best part is she will never ever let you down and even encourages you to call her if there's any unexpected setbacks. I absolutely love her and I highly recommend seeing her.
