Dr. Neelum Sharma, MD

I have finally found a doctor who is absolutely outstanding! Dr. Sharma spent well over an hour with me reviewing my entire medical history and educating me on various medications and treatments which no one has ever done for me in the past. Dr. Sharma Is extremely knowledgeable, professional, respectful, and kind. You are in great hands, mind, and soul with Dr. Sharma and LPN Lisa!

After 3 years of my mother seeing this doctor, I felt is was time to leave a review. However she is with other patients, her care of my mother has been horrible. My mother has Fibromyalgia and chronic migraines. She is very resistant to taking medications at all, but when the pain is so bad she is puking her toenails up and laying in bed for days, I don't think it's reasonable to dismiss her as a drug seeker. At almost 60 now, she has also had to have one knee replaced, and the sooner I can get her to stop putting it off and get the other replaced, the better. She has NO cartilage left. Getting my mother pain relief beyond naproxen and acetaminophen shouldn't be met with skepticism. On top of this, my mother is now dealing with full blown Major Depression and anxiety. Despite bringing the early symptoms up to her doctor, at my insistence, in the hopes of her getting a referral to a psychiatrist and psychologist, Dr. Sharma just proscribed her some trazadone and told her something… along the lines of "Life is stressful." Now I'm trying to find her someone on my own, at the worst possible season to try to find someone who get get her in ASAP. This morning she asked again, stressing how emotionally fragile she is at the moment, for a referral to mental health services. It is now late afternoon, and NO ONE has even called her back. You would think that a 60 year old woman, who's husband died a few years ago, and is now caring for a mentally disabled adult child with very little help, would be taken more seriously. Add to all of this the fact that my mom has had stomach issues on a near weekly basis involving pain and an inability to keep anything down or in long enough, near daily migraines, muscle and joint pain, blood pressure and cholesterol problems despite a very healthy diet, and can't lose weight despite all of this? There's no way this is good care. This isn't even marginal care.

I have never had a doctor so caring. She has great suggestions and is excellent in diagnosing my illnesses.
