Dr. Neeraj H Panchal, DDS

I saw Dr. Panchal at JPS in Fort Worth Texas a few weeks ago for the extraction of #3 under local anesthesia. His attitude was slightly aloof and carefree. I had to ask for some topical anesthesia and he seemed put off with this request but did so..he ask me to put it into my mouth! His injection technique of local was slow and good. But it was when he did the extraction did his technique really go bad. Instead of loosening the tooth with an elevator and not taking the time to retract the gum tissue, he aggressively attacked the tooth with the forceps and forceably pulled the tooth with no regard to the surrounding bone or tissue. He immediately applied a gauze and left the room. At no time after the extraction did he ever visualize or swipe the extraction site with his finger to feel for any loose particles of bone or whether the gum tissue had been ripped and needed a suture. After I returned home to begin healing, I noticed that the gauze kept hanging up on the extraction site and… upon careful inspection with my gloved finger, felt a large boney piece sticking out of the gum tissue protruding into my cheek. I called the clinic and found out I could not be seen by him for another week! I endured a copious amount of EXTRA pain because he did not check the extraction site afterwards..I missed work for 2 more days..had to continue taking pain medication well passed the days necessary and then upon seeing him again a week later had to endure another local injection for the bone removal which he performed aggressively and without any regards to the pain and anxiety I had endured because of his neglect after the initial extraction. The professional Oral surgeon I was employed by for 9 years, was always conscientious of his patient's comfort and ease of healing. He always inspected the oral cavity after every procedure for foreign bodies and fragments because he didn't want the patient to endure more pain than necessary. When I returned to have the bone fragment removed, the same assistant that assisted Dr. Panchal was there and I asked her why he didn't check the extraction site after he removed the tooth and she said "he wasn't feeling good that day." Well, his ill health cost me big time and he shouldn't have been at work that day if he didn't feel well! I
