Dr. Pokharel listens and shows concern to all of my problems, sickness, or symptoms. She has exceptional bedside manner and cares for the patient.

I came to Dr Pokharel after having the same doctor for almost 50 years. She has been very thorough on all of my visits. She recommended me for a diabetic study that has been a blessing (they provide medication and testing). Her staff is attentive and prescreens questions to remind me to ask her about any additional issues that need to be addressed during my visit with her. At every visit she has questioned me about how medications are working, if I have any new issues, and has made sure I get lab work and x-rays done when needed. I have never felt rushed to explain any issues that are new. She always makes sure that all my questions are answered before turning me back over to the nurse. I have recommended her to several other patients and they have all been very satisfied with her. Carrie J

I'm a new patient of Dr. Pokharel. I initially hoped to see a colleague of hers but I was very pleased with my overall experience! I'm 50, female, and have HBP. I found Dr. Pokharel to be thorough in evaluating my health history and recommendations for additional screenings now that I'm a bit older. She and her team were very responsive, courteous, and professional. I would recommend her if you're looking for a PCP!

After watching channel 4 this morning regarding a study that was done saying that 2/3 of doctors give a patient approximately 11 seconds to explain their complaints before cutting them off I felt the need to write this. I have been taking my mother, who has Alzheimer's, to Dr. Pokharel for about 2 years now and she definitely does not fall into that category. When it is time for her to hear the issues I have brought my mother to see her for, she has turned herself away from the computer and towards me and listens to every word until I am finished. I have liked Dr. Pokharel from the first day I started bringing my mother to her and realized this morning that this is one of the things I like about her most. Never do I leave feeling like I wasn't able to explain what the problem is in detail and never do I walk out of there feeling like nothing was resolved. Her care for my mother has been exceptional.
