Dr. Vapiwala is the reason I decided on Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine/Abramson Cancer Center for my stage 3 prostate cancer radiation treatment. She is highly qualified and professional and has a very reassuring bedside manner. She can explain the treatment options in language anyone can understand. I happen to be a lifelong practicing scientist and appreciated her reasoning for using photon therapy and not proton therapy for my cancer. She is also very attuned to side effects and managed both if mine immediately. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone with a cancer within her specialty.
