Neil Baman, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in allergy and immunology.Dr. Baman treats adults and children for a variety of conditions, including: Seasonal and/or daily environmental allergies Sinus problems Ocular (eye) allergies Asthma Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) Eczema/atopic dermatitis Drug allergies Food allergies Hives/swelling Immune system issues Allergies to stinging insectsSome of the procedures Dr. Baman performs to treat and diagnose conditions include skin testing, pulmonary function tests, drug and food challenges, bloodwork (depending on the history/situation) and allergy and biologic injections.Dr. Baman considers his patients like a second family. "To be in the field of medicine means continually learning in order to provide appropriate care for my patients," he says.He also loves to teach and believes part of learning includes sharing that knowledge. "Being involved in the community is also important as I like to give lectures locally …at various community centers in addition to fellow physicians," he says.Dr. Baman is board-certified in the fields of internal medicine and allergy/immunology. He is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Baman says he's spent most of his adulthood in central and eastern Pennsylvania. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, cooking, hiking, swimming, reading, and occasionally coaching soccer.
