Neil listened very carefully and is a great analyst. Very practical and tells you what you need to hear, not what you think you should hear. Very thorough exam, very easy to work with to reach a solution or to try to see what will work. Highly supportive of his methods.

PLEASE READ: This could save you. A few years ago, when I was in my mid-twenties, I began to see Dr. Cherian for a severe migraine that hadn't gone away for a year and severe nausea. This man kept me on the highest possible dose of Neurontin for three years (I am female and underweight, and it was way too much for me!). After three years of his negligence, I mentioned the migraine surgery he had discussed with me when I first came to him with my issues. He told me that I needed to go to "pain rehabilitation" even though I was not on any pain medication and learn how to live with my symptoms. As a 23-year-old, hearing this was utterly devastating. By then, my nerve damage (occipital neuralgia) had progressed nearly to the point of no return. I told him that I was going to find a surgical option. Dr. Cherian proceeded to tell me that he would personally ensure that I did not have this surgery, giving me no reason as to why, and would call any surgeons or neurologists I saw himself. It… seemed like every single surgeon or neurologist I saw through the Cleveland Clinic would first agree that the surgery was necessary, then read Dr. Cherian's notes and call me saying I should not have the surgery. After going through a different hospital where they could not read his awful notes about me, I came back to him and let him know that I had found a high-rated surgeon who was more than willing to perform migraine surgery on me to alleviate my symptoms. He threatened me again, telling me he would find this doctor and ensure that I didn't have the surgery. The surgery worked, Dr. Cherian, but I lost my early 20's to you. I was in bed for two years. How DARE you.

This brilliant man has truly saved my sanity and life twice!!!

Mr Cherian refused to run any tests to diagnose my symptoms. He said there were 'literally hundreds of medicines we could try before resorting to tests.' He then prescribed ant-depressants and referred me to psychiatry. When I asked about a follow up he completely dismisses me and said I could call for a new prescription if the one he gave did not work. I was later diagnosed by a real doctor who was willing to run tests and not just a pill pusher. I had paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis that was triggered by stage three breast cancer. Had I stayed with mr Cherian, I would not be alive to write this post right now. My advice to anyone who can read this is to find a good doctor and avoid this man at all cost.

Dr. Cherian spent a lot of time listening, asking deep questions, leaving nothing out, with plenty of time for questions at the end. Vestibular patients long to be heard and understood. I truly felt I achieved that goal with the good doctor.
