Dr. Neil Alan Fenske, MD

He diagnosed my melanoma and saved my life. He diagnosed it early.

Based on my experience with Dr. Fenske, without going into details, he is unethical. Avoid him!

I found Dr Fenske very friendly and professional. I went to him because my previous dermatologist had retired and I needed a new one.

Probably one of the worst doctors I've ever encountered. Verbally aggressive

This is a review of the dermatology office, not of Dr. Fenske himself because I never even saw him. This office shows no care for students. I was seen hurriedly by a PA who was quick to take a biopsy, leading me to believe it was routine and covered by my insurance. The whole thing took 10 minutes and I didn't feel that I was examined or listened to at all. Later, they wouldn't release the results unless I paid for another visit. It took three weeks of fighting over the phone (during which I was insulted by the receptionist for not picking up my phone the one time the PA actually called me back) until I could wrestle the results from them. Finally, I get a bill in the mail for $255. My insurance didn't cover much of this poor visit and unnecessary biopsy. Please go elsewhere. I am not the only one with a terrible experience here. I have a few other friends who warned me not to go. I should have listened.

I had read many positive things about this doctor. I have had acne and wanted someone to help me solve what was going on. I saw he was on topdoctors.com so I thought hey he is the perfect guy...=/. I decided that I would drive out of my way to get there about 45 min (with traffic more) . I waited about an hr before being seen. I got in there and was greeted by one girl who asked me a few questions then an intern came in with her to talk to me and do a mole check. Finally about 10min later the doctor came in said hello to me then just started to talk to the intern. He touched my face and gave analysis to the intern then began to walk out. I had to stop him to ask a question which I had to do 3 times and then he told his intern to take me over to the rn they had. I was never taken over there but to the front to pay. He didn't prescribe me anything just told me about a face wash to use that his practice carries. As I got distracted with all of that and walked out then remembered I was… never introduced to the rn for my questions to be answered. I came back in and told the receptionist who told me the rn was busy. Also that I would have to pay 70 just to have a few questions answered. Finally she decided to squeeze me in and rush me out just as quick . I left feeling very disappointed about the whole experience. The money I wasted on going out of my way to see him... My time wasted on the drive and the wait to have a 5 min appointment... . It felt like I was a low priority and that didn't feel too good. I gave a star for the receptionist willing to try to track the doctor down, the intern to talk to me but was directed to the also busy rn. I waited a month for this experience and wished I never called this office in the first place.

After a recent cosmetic procedure I met with Dr. Fenske because I was not happy with the results.Instead of talking with me about the treatment vs. results, he started telling me that he was not going to refund my money.I had not asked for my money to be refunded.I was showing him literature for the laser that he used, and in the literature it showed that it removes wrinkles around the eyes. He told me (after the fact) that I had "dynamic wrinkles" and that this laser would not work for the wrinkles I have. Of course, prior to my spending $3000.00 on the laser treatment, he told me it would work beautifully and he loved working with young skin.In the post treatment follow-up, he agreed to a deal for re-treatment and told me to call his office. After I called he recanted his deal. He just wanted me out of his office. I found Dr. Fenske unethical, not professional and I was shocked at his abrasive manner.The only thing he would offer me was to spend more money on new treatments or… other procedures. Very disturbing for someone who has such a high reputation in this community.

I have very allergic skin and a great need for a dermatologist. Dr Fenske has treated me for a long time and is very caring extreemly knowledgable. I thank god I found him as my doctor.

I've seen Dr Fenske only twice and don't have an opinion yet, of follow up, time spent, or bedside manner. So far, he seems great.
