Dr. Neil Joseph Gilbert, MD

I suffered more than seven months from a case that brought me to the edge of paralysis. I was sent to multiple doctors and they treated me with injections and drugs without any benefit and the supposed cure was becoming harmful. Finally I came across Dr. Neil Gilbert who found my complicated problem by a different MRI which led me to a surgery to remove a Benign Tumor on my spinal cord. In fact he was smarter.

Dr Neil Gilbert is a phenomenal doctor. I did have a bit of wait prior to being seen but it is always worth it. He answers every single question and spends time with me at every visit. I have referred over 10 patients to him and will continue to do so because he is just a great neurologist. He even takes care of some of my issues that my PCP should! He is compassionate, intelligent & overall a great doctor. His office staff is also wonderful. They get a Christmas gift from me each year because I am so appreciative for all that they do.

Dr. Gilbert refused to fill out forms I had a scheduled appointment for to do so. He advised it would be $200 per form, which no one said over the phone. Turns out the woman who made the appointment was "new" and yet somehow it was still my fault. He was condescending, dismissive, and didn't listen to a word I said. Told me to see another doctor and ripped up my form to my face. Then the office still had the gall to bill me for this "appointment". Will be calling my insurance provider. Do not go here!

be careful of this doctor my mom does not have a seizure. and he told her that she has an abnormal activity in her brain and she need to take seizure medication. He started to give her meds and then He increases the dose. until she get to a point that she can't move anymore like she was sleepy the whole day and can't do anything. His plan was to keep her on these medications for two years. Because she has mdecare insurance he tried to make money out of her without caring about her health. I notice what is going one and I took her to another doctor and he said that she does not need these meds. So just be careful and always check with couple doctors and do not believe him because Doctor Gilbert Neil does not care about the patient health what he care about most is money. He makes you sick to get money out of you.

Great diagnostician. Listens to concerns. One of the most compassionate and thorough doctors I have seen in years. If it were not for Dr. Gilbert a serious condition would not have been diagnosed. He is professional and compassionate. Takes time to explain any medical issues that may be present.

I have seen 2 other neurologists. Dr. Gilbert is the first one to take time with me, ask appropriate questions, hears what I am saying and best of all he has HELPED me. I truly like him and appreciate his knowledge. His staff has always been extremely nice and helpful. I would recommend him to anyone who finds themselves in need of a competent neurologist.

DOCTOR SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS AFTER PAYING THE BILL ONE WEEK AFTER IT CAME IN THE MAIL. CHECKS WAS CASHED AND IT WAS NOT RECOREDED IN THEIR RECORDS. BRUTAL PATIENT EXPERIENCE. LEFT MESSAGES AND NO CALL BACK. NOT SURE HOW ANY PRACITCE CAN OPERATE LIKE THIS.

Dr. Gilbert treated my mother for dementia and epilepsy. He was very caring and professional. He was thorough and took extra time to explain her condition and treatment options. His staff was always pleasant and helpful. He always answered my calls when concerned about new behaviors. Most importantly my mother liked him and trusted him as did I. He has a passion for learning as was often citing new studies in his area of specialty. We considered ourselves most fortunate to have him treat mom.

Incredibly rude and uncaring! This man is a joke for a physician! And his staff is just as incompetent as he is! His bedside manner is horrible and he seems to make diagnosis by pulling papers from a hat rather tham using medical knowledge, testing, deduction, and least of all, intelligence. Five minutes with this man is enough to scare ANYONE away from doctors for life. He is a menace to his patients and the medical practice in general. I have NEVER had a physician ask on the SECOND visit if a charge from the first visit had been paid, especially as we had not received a bill yet. He misread radiology reports and gave the wrong diagnosis... twice!!! If you have any sort of medical issue, avoid this man at all costs!!! It may very well save your life, or the life of somone you love!
