Dr. Neil A Mushlin, DO

Saw only briefly . first appt with asst. second for test results, did not explain or name what was wrong but had nurse return with Breztri samples. For what purpose? more tests ordered. phone followup did not remember patient. Perhaps just too many patients to provide good info and followup. Went to temple lung in Oaks. Doc there reviewed prior tests, gave diagnosis. Said DO NOt use the Breztri. Temple Lung is our new pulmonary home. Far superior.

Dr. Mushlin is an amazing doctor. He listens and reacts to his patients with empathy & compassion. In todays world it is rare that a doctor takes the time to follow-up with their patients, especially during THEIR personal time or on weekends. Dr. Mushlin is so committed he does! His follow up phone call is always welcome and provides an opportunity for any follow up concerns/questions prior to any next scheduled visit. Thanks Dr. Mushlin for everything you do for your patients!

Excellent Clinician! Referred by my PCP to Dr. Mushlin. They had no openings for new pts. for weeks. However, noting my 'distress-difficulty breathing', his staff member, put me on hold and informed him. I was seen that day- treated urgently. Additional studies ordered, diagnosed and rx initiated. He has followed up, calling me on several occasions. I am extremely grateful for referral to this professional practice where I am receiving compassionate care. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so. He is the exception!

Dr. Neil Mushlin and his team at Advocare Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists are an incredible team of professional, exceptionally intelligent, and extremely caring medical experts. Dr. Mushlin has been treating me through covid, covid pneumonia, pneumonia, and long covid. My case has been very complicated dealing with a lot of unknowns and identifying underlying issues I never knew I had. Dr. Mushlin has been there every step along the way providing stellar care and attention even in the face of countless obstacles. Dr. Mushlin came extremely highly recommended to me by three other doctors, and my experience has confirmed that he’s absolutely one of the best pulmonologists in the area and beyond. The level of care provided is stellar, and I’m truly lucky to be under the care of such a great doctor and his amazing team.

I submit this review regarding Dr. Neil Mushlin because I cannot contain my praise. Once again, Dr. Mushlin has called me on a Saturday to inform me of an issue with my lungs and has prescribed medication to solve it. I have every confidence in the world that he is prescibing the right course of action. After all, he gave me back my life about 7 months ago when, again, he called me on a Saturday to tell me that I was highly anemic. No other doctor bothered to do a thorough review of all my symptoms. I am a new person with energy - i go to the gym and babysit my 16 month old granddaughter all without feeling breathless. In addition to my treatment, he recommended a nebulizer and a respiratory vest and these are treatments, though time consuming, have really made a big difference. I love having Dr. Mushlin as my doctor and I love the people in his practice at all offices. THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS and this is what you want in a medical practice. DID NOT CALL TO INFORM OF RECALL, DID NOT FIND OUT FOR MONTHS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE UNLESS THEY GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER.

For a couple of years, I had been working with a pulmonologist @ Penn Medicine regarding my sleep apnea and daytime fatigue. During one of my visits, he stated that I need to get use to my fatigue as this would be considered “my new normal”. After hearing this, I decided to immediately change doctors. My PCP referred me to Dr. Mushlin @ Advocare Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists. Dr. Mushlin and his staff have been wonderful to work with. As my condition appears to be elusive, Dr. Mushlin has gone above and beyond in attempts to resolve it, much more than the Penn doctor. His concern for me is genuine and a priority. Also, his staff has been attentive to my needs. Recently, I had two problems, one regarding my medical supply firm and the other working with my prescription insurance company in obtaining a unique medication. Kudos to both Monica and Erin, respectively, in providing the help that I needed to resolve both concerns! I would highly recommend Advocare and Dr. Mushlin.

I was referred to Dr. Mushlin by my GP, since I had a continuing cough after what I thought was a lingering sinus infection (almost didn't make an appointment as I tried to ride it out). From day one when scheduling my first appointment with Lisa, I was already impressed with overall sincere kindness & top-notch customer care. When meeting Dr. Mushlin & his staff, I knew that I had made the right decision. Dr. Mushlin & his staff & I'm referring to all of his staff (from Monica Hess, Doreen, Sheila, Star & Lisa to name a few) are all a perfect example of customer care & service! After a thorough consult, Dr. Mushlin ordered several tests to determine the cause. And, having a Chest Cat Scan, especially was a blessing in disguise as I was also diagnosed with coronary artery disease, which is taking me to a cardiologist for further testing. Thankfully, I listed to my GP to see Dr. Mushlin, or I would've never known about this added issue! After having test results, along with… unexpected phone calls from Dr. Mushlin, I'm slightly improving, plus I have a follow-up appointment in the near future. I typically don't take the time to write reviews, whether negative or positive; however, experiencing many appointments with Dr. Mushlin at three locations is reason I'm giving Dr. Mushlin a 5-star AND above rating! I can't thank Dr. Mushlin enough...he truly cares about his patients & goes above & beyond for your needs. P.R.

"Dr. Mushlin is hands-down one of the best medical doctors I have ever seen. His demeanor and bed-side manner is calm, positive, thorough, attentive, and personal. He was able to, in one visit, get my asthma under control. He listened to my asthma history and came up with a combination of maintenance medications and got my asthma under control. In One Visit! Several other pulmonologist couldn’t get my asthma under control and they had many years to do so! Why did Dr. Mushlin accomplish this and others couldn’t? He listens, he cares, and he believes in you! He REALLY cares about your whole being (mind, body, and soul) and wants to know your entire medical history so his medical assessment will be on-point when it comes to your care. He has a well-rounded medical background and will confidently take on challenging cases. I had just turned 40 and I started sleeping non-stop. I owned a business that was closing due to regulations changing. My family and friends felt I was depressed but I felt fine about my situation and everything in my life except for my abnormal daytime sleeping. I went to see Dr. Mushlin for possible sleep apnea. The test showed minimal apnea which wouldn't account for the excessive sleepiness. Dr. Mushlin started asking me more about my sleep habits and my history. It was determined ( after some time) that I had narcolepsy. Dr. Mushlin worked with me on a treatment respecting my wishes, listening to my concerns, and offered help and or a solution at every turn. It was a long journey but I am back to my normal self. I am extremely grateful to him and his team. Never once did I feel like I was a burden to them. They always responded to my request and made sure to get back to me within a reasonable amount of time.
