If you need a great surgeon, Dr. Patel is your guy. I was really hesitant to do back surgery, even though I was in immense pain from a herniated disc sitting on a nerve, causing numbness down my leg. I was trying any natural remedy possible, with no results. IMMEDIATELY after surgery…IMMEDIATELY…I had 100% relief. Grateful for Dr. Patel and the work he does.

From the first apt, to surgery and now recovery everything has gone smoothly. I appreciate the teamwork at Spine Team Texas. Dr Patel did a great job of expalining everything and put my mind at ease. I would definately recommend Dr. Patel.

Dr. Patel is practicing a form of profiling and discrimination against those that were injured through or in support of our US military. My husband supported military operations in Afghanistan for 6 years only to come home with combat PTSD and a traumatic brain injury. He is not eligible for VA benefits. My husband has seen Dr. Patel several times and has had a number of scans and tests through Spine Team, as well as several surgeries unrelated to his spine, without incident. The only concession he asked is to not surprise him with an unexpected touch and speak to him first - a reasonable accommodation we thought. Then when he went to schedule a new test we were told that they "were not equipped to handle patients like him" and would have to refer him out. What?? A patient that has a strong history of demonstrating he is coping, and coping well with combat PTSD is not worth their trouble? I am outraged on my husband's behalf that he can sustain an injury in a war zone and then… can be stigmatized and denied needed healthcare. I just wish I could give Dr. Patel and the rest of SpineTeam less than 1 star to equal the exact amount of care my husband received from them!

Dr. Patel is very thorough and after finding out I had form a blood clot in my lung he followed up with me at the hospital a couple times, I'm very glad he sent me to the ER right way, possibly saved my life, very greatful
