Dr. Neil Thakkar, DO

I have been a patient of Dr. Thakkar for about one year. I'm very pleased with Dr, Thakkar's professionalism, knowledge, and empathy. He is achieving results that were not previously achieved by other pain management doctors I've seen.

I really cannot rate the doctor as I only saw him once in three visits. The billing staff is horrible. I spent hours on the phone with both Medicare and my secondary insurance trying to get information for this office. After I would get what was requested another person from the office would call and state that they did not need that information and request other information. After being on the phone three times with Medicare and twice with UHC trying to satisfy this office, I gave up. I will find another doctor.

Elitist. Thinks he's better than his patients. Liar. Lied to me twice that I know of. Has no concept of pain beyond beyond the 1-10 scale. The longer I was a patient the worse it got. I was there 5 years.

I have been seeing Dr Thakkar for several months now and he has been helping several pain issues I’ve been dealing with. He takes my pain very seriously and ordered MRIs in order to get to the bottom of what was causing it. He truly cares about his patients comfort and his office staff is very professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend him to anyone I care about who is in pain.

Dr. Thakkar has improved my husband's quality of life many times over. I haven't had to take hubby to the e.r. once since seeing Dr. T because he understands pain and how to treat it. If he thinks a certain treatment won't work, he won't do the treatment just for the money. He looks at the whole patient and gets to know you; this allows Dr. Thakkar to make the best decisions regarding hubby's care. We are so blessed to have found Dr. T. Got off long term use of narcotic pain medication and with an ablation procedure to my lower back I am 90% pain free. Dr. Thakkar was responsible for my getting better and off the pain meds. I would highly recommend him for pain management.

Dr. Thakkar is very good at what he does. I had been getting epidural treatments for my bad back {I broke it twice} for years before I moved to Az 5yrs ago. When I moved here I tried to find a good pain management Dr., and hhad a couple of bad experiences. Then I found Dr. Thakkar, and was very happy with his treatments. Since that time, he has found other treatments to help me. {I am not on any pain meds}

He listens when you talk with him, a trait many doctors fail at. He is sincerely concerned with your issues. He personal helped me with a non pain issue which resulted in possibly avoiding a serious medical condition.

At 57 years old I experienced Sciatic Nerve pain in one leg, and pain in opposite shoulder. With three treatments, Dr Thakkar gave me 100% relief. Real medical professional, he is very knowledgeable and speaks to you as a patient not just another "billing". Office staff is professional.
