Dr. Nell Ann Hennon, DO

I went to Dr. Hennon for a problem with my back (small pressure at the center, hard to sleep because of it.) She first listened to me then looked at my chart. Within the chart, it was noted I was being treated for depression with medications. She suggested an x-ray of my spine and a follow-up visit. On the follow-up visit, she had an 'intern' present. She did not show me the x-ray, nor a copy of the report. She stated everything was fine with my spine and perhaps, it was due to my depression. I felt she was condesending as she said this. It was as she said, 'it's all in your mind.' She did not suggest I see a specialist. Since the pain worsened, I went to Washington University physicians in St. Louis. They took an x-ray and immediately showed me the film with the doctor explaining the problem. I had a severe curvicure of the spine with Scoliosis. This physician gave me physical therapy and asked if I wanted pain meds. I just don't see how a doctor could have missed the DX… as Dr. Hennon did. I could see my problem (on x-ray) and I am no doctor. So, I asked for a different physician in the practice. There was quite a fuss about this request. They had to have her permission to give me to another doctor. Really, I told them if they did not change doctors I would quit their practice. I feel this doctor is not as knowledgeable as some I have visited. Although, her personality is good and somewhat charming. I would like a physician who would at least get 'in the ballpark' with diagnosis.

Had my first patient appt yesterday. Definitely made the right decision to make her my PMD. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED her!

Dr Hennon is by far, one of the few doctors I've ever encountered that really makes me feel like she's listening and wants to know about me. Very personable, too!

I have only been seeing Dr. Hennon for approximately 6 months. I was on a waiting list for 3 months to see her for a first time visit and I was told she was worth the wait. That is definitely true. Dr. Hennon, from my first visit made me feel at ease and made herself available to listen to everything I had to say, no matter how long it took. She was very thorough on a first time exam and did her best to make me comfortable during this exam. (I have soime issues with Anxiety and PTSD, and she took all of that into cnsideration and provided an exam and discussio of my concerns with the utmost respect and dignity. I have already told some 0f my friends abiut her, and they are now on waiting lists to get to become a patient of hers. It definitely will be worth the wait!!
