Dr. Nelopher Saiffuddin Hathiary, MD

I don’t think she read my chart when assigned as my hospitalist. Didn’t seem to know nor be interested with what was going on with my care. I had to tell her. Once in hospital tried to give me meds I am allergic too. Made same mistake with discharge instructions. My discharge nurse caught it.

She is a great doctor and very compassionate. She took great care of my father.

Dr. Hathiary contradicted the neurologist in the unit I was in at Overland Park Regional hospital within a couple of hours. He diagnosed a rare form of migraine called a basilar migraine. Her diagnosis? "You are on too many med; you need to get off as many as possible." Really?! These meds are prescribed by the best specialists in the region. Her response to the same excellent neurologist prescribing a med that would stop this migraine in its tracks? "I don't want to fill it; it's just one more med to add to the list of meds." Duh. I'm actually not on THAT many meds! Very poor doctor.
