Summary
I was born in Ecuador but grew up in Los Angeles and speak fluent English and Spanish. I attended medical school at the UC San Francisco and subsequently did my training at Southern California hospitals. I love medicine and in particular my subspecialty of infectious diseases because the treatable infections are usually curable-it is very fulfilling to have a positive impact on people's lives. Infectious disease is an exciting field that is always changing and challenging and often at the forefront of national and world news.
