Dr. Nelson M Gumucio, DDS

Dr. Nelson Gumucio graduated in 1981 with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri Dental School, in Kansas City, Missouri.
He is a general dentist who has been caring for patients in the Western Communities since 1989. His 26 years of experience allow him to provide his patients with the best and latest techniques available in dentistry.
Dr. Gumucio is dedicated to provide high quality, uncompromised dental treatment to his patients that will allow them to maintain, attain or restore healthy and attractive smiles. He offers a full range of dental care. His commitment to continuing education has included a broad spectrum of courses through the years, including but not limited to implant dentistry, cosmetic treatment options as well as oral sedation.
Dr. Gumucio is bilingual in English and Spanish.

We are proud to have a very dedicated staff with an average dental experience of 14 years. They are all caring and knowledgeable. They are all bilingual; which allow us to educate and prepare our English and Spanish speaking patients.
Clarissa: Dental Hygienist
Clarissa is a native of New York. She graduated from New York Technical College in 1986 and became a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). She moved to Florida in 1987and joined Dr. Gumucio's team in 1995. Clarissa emphasizes preventive care, she takes time to teach cleaning techniques and explain cause and effect of dental problems o her patients in a simple caring fashion. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. In her free time, Clarissa likes to devote her time to her daughter and her extracurricular activities. She also volunteers at her daughter's school.
Maria Delicia: Dental Assistant
Maria Delicia has been Dr. Gumucio's team member since 2001. She obtained her Dental Assistant Certificate from Nova Southeast University. She enjoys working with patients and seeing results. In her free time, Maria Delicia likes to exercise and spend time with her two children.
Carola: Office Manager
Carola joined Dr. Gumucio's dental team in 1994. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1986 with a degree in Management. Prior to working with Dr. Gumucio, she was a commercial lender for SunTrust Bank. Carola is fluent in English and Spanish. For fun Carola likes to exercise and study history.
Janie: Patient coordinator
Although Janie was born in Colorado, she considers herself very much a Floridian. Her career in dentistry goes back to 1993 when she started working with Dr. Gumucio as a chair side dental assistant. She is now the office's patient coordinator. However, she enjoys the clinical aspect so much that she also doubles as a dental assistant. Janie completed her dental assistant courses at the University of Florida. In her free time, Janie enjoys spending time with her family, specially watching sports, she is a big UM fan. She also volunteers at her church as a religious instructor. Additionally, she is a cheerleader coach for her daughters' cheerleading squad. Janie is bilingual in English and Spanish.
