This practice is a joke. I've had a kidney infection that went septic two years ago and is back. I was hospitalized 4 days for it this time. In that 4 days, doc came to see me once. All other orders were done by reviewing my labs. Not really sure that it's ethical to be treated without being seen and reading a piece of paper, but whatever. I was discharged with a picc line, iv meds for one week, per doc's orders. Week went by, line was pulled without a follow-up up visit and I felt I still had the infection. After getting no where for almost two weeks, I went to the ER, sure enough, infection is still present. ER didn't even consult ID and sent me home with antibiotics I was resistant to, then they called the following day, telling me I was resistant and put me on another med, at this point I called ID myself, the nurse yelled at me for calling the back line, but that's the only number that didn't keep me in a voicemail prompt loop, and sure enough, doc dx me without seeing me… and had me go back on the picc - outpatient this time. So, picc goes in, but I have no order for meds. Picc RN tries calling ID to get order. Office is closed, no success. Calls afterhours, does not her call back. So I've got a picc line in since yesterday, no meds, no flush, nothing. Doc has yet to to a follow-up with me and had seen me only once - inpatient - this whole time while all this had been going on. These dudes are in it for the chemistry, not the patients. Don't let them fool you. They are awful.

Dr N is a very thorough, concerned, caring and wise physician. I felt lucky and blessed to be his patient when l had an infection in my vertebrae in 2011. I was in his care for over six months.
