Dr. Nelson Thomas Rice, MD

For the brief interaction I had with Dr. Rice before he began the bone marrow biopsy, he was personable and a nice man. However, the point of a bone marrow biopsy is to obtain an adequate sample for the pathologist to analyze, which Dr. Rice did not do. The pathologist declared the sample "LIMITED" with the notation that "a repeat bone marrow biopsy would be beneficial." So, NO RESULTS! After all I went through! Now I have to go through this invasive procedure AGAIN!! All because Dr. Rice did not do his job! The shock is wearing off, and the anger is setting in!

Dr. Rice was not prepared for my procedure. He did not read the full order and left me on the ct table while the staff presumably were researching the agent to use on me. I was not informed of the side effects, so the subsequent pain and handling of it was very sub par.
