7 hours agoNEW I waited two and a half months to get my teenager a visit with Dr Ibrahim after they rescheduled multiple times the day of my appointments. Finally the appointment day arrives and we get out telemedicine link. The doctor is 15 minutes late to the appointment. Once she logs in there is no audio. We tell her we will try her back from another phone. We wait in the virtual waiting room for an hour with zero response to the chat function or texts. Her assistant calls at the end of the appointment time and says she is no longer taking new patients after today and won't being seeing us today or in the future. Mind you they have already charged my credit card for services now not rendered. It's hard enough to get a 15-year-old to talk to a therapist much less after having one make you sit there for an hour and then drop you as a client before you meet them. This is the most unprofessional behavior I've ever seen from a doctor. I would avoid this woman like the plague!

I chose Dr. Ibrahim randomly from my insurance providers website. It was a great choice, on my first visit I found she takes the time to get tic know you as a person and asks meaningful questions. Every session she takes a genuine interest as me as a person, my progress and it’s very encouraging. Would recommend to my family and friends and anyone else looking for a high quality psychiatrist!

Dr. Ibrahim is the best physician i have ever met. She stayed as long as took to make sure I get better and fit me in her schedule any time I had a question or concern. The medications she recommended helped me claim my life back and My wife and I are thankful that such great doctor still exists in this day and age when many other doctors won't listen and cut the visit short after few minutes regardless of the patient progress.

BEWARE!!! This doctor specializes in depression. Let me first say; I do not suffer from depression (this is a severe condition, I know as I've had my own experience with it in my younger years) and do not wish to manipulate an area where my problems do not reside. This message was repeated verbatim on patient forms and during my session with Dr. Ibrahim. She was the only doctor that had availability that was not months out. The main reason why I was seeking help in this area is due to the spike in my ADHD from a strenuous schedule since returning to school aside from running a business. I have always suffered from this condition not knowing what it was plus it was not recognized when I grew up much less diagnosed. With a culturally Asian upbringing, this would not be something that is open for discussion. One is left to fend for oneself. Therefore, I would come up with certain motions or verbiage to help me focus. Unfortunately, stress from the combined school and workload is… currently beyond self-help. I first went to my PCP, and she put me on Strattera 40mg which I tried, and it helped with staying focus, but one of the side effects was total reclusion. This was mention to Dr. Ibrahim as well. The absent of my social desire to communicate with the public and friends left them thinking I was upset with them. Although disappointed that this medication did not work out, I did not mind exploring other avenues since I was never a pill popper anyway. I was given temporary accommodations for school assignments and tests recommended by Dr. Dayal (PCP) which helped immensly. However, it was only temporary, and she insisted that this could be easily and better managed with the help of an expert in the field paired with the right medication, which brought me to Dr. Ibrahim. To my dismay, she prescribed me Wellbutrin and explained that it worked on the same chemical release as the Strattera. I could not bring myself to understand why to treat ADHD that I am suggested to take a medication that treats something else but found to help with ADHD in the process. Not to mention the horrible side effect and that fact that I have to take it every day for it to work correctly. Why was my ADHD not treated as a stand-alone condition that it is? I have lived with this condition all my life and knew how to cope with it for the most part, but found that the extra help is necessary to concentrate and stay focus while working full-time and school. I reluctantly gave the Wellbutrin a go, but by the third or fourth day, I felt irritable, frustrated, almost angry all the time. When I called to let Dr. Ibrahim know this, the front office told me that her notes stated I have to go in to see her to discuss the medication. Well, I just saw her the week before, and it's not like I didn't tell her side effect I had with the Strattera. I refused and left her a message. She had the front office call me back to tell me that she was not that kind of doctor. When I said, I don't understand what that means; it was reiterated to me that I have to find another doctor because she does not prescribe medication for use as needed. A psychology student I am aware of the common complaint that the ADHD medication makes you feel different. This is more of a reason not to want to take it if you don't need it, countering addiction as well. I had to apologize to a psychologist friend for my behavior while on the Wellbutrin was when I found out she also suffers from ADHD. She confirmed my medication concerns and explained that she is on an ADHD medication that is not tied to anti-depressants and can be used on an as-needed basis. Instead of helping me, Dr. Ibrahim has caused more distress and added stress to my life. She is new to the Clear Lake and Nasa area. I suggest unless you are seeking treatment for depression to find someone else that will listen to understand your situation so they can treat you accordingly.
