Dr.. Montero is a crook. He swindled me out of a lot of money for a surgery that was done not very well and left me with needed more follow up surgery. I later learned he had a drug problem so heaven l ,y knows his state while he operated on me. Not sure he's still practicing. He should not be. The sad part is his staff knew about his problem yet allowed him to continue to operate.

Dr. Montero performed bi-lateral mastectomies with immediate reconstruction on me. He was not only skilled and professional, he was compassionate, sensitive to my emotional well-being as well as my physical health, and his staff was as well. I could not recommend Dr. Montero any higher. I healed perfectly, have not had one single problem, nor one moment of regret since my surgery. Dr. Montero enabled me to live with dignity and peace of mind.

This man acts like he is "God"! Would not listen when the nurse called him @ home and told him I was having breathing complications until the head nurse got invloved. LAter whe n IFINALLY received operative reports, I stopped breathing twice on the operating table when he tried to close the incision because he "cut off excess" as stated in the reportD id a surgery that was done more like a partial tummy tuck than a ventral hernia repair.I came home after a six day stay in the hospital with an open incision that had to heal from the inside out. Five months of care from my family Dr. and another plastic surgeon. This man knew what he was doing but is skilled enough to put into written form his mess to the insurance company to cover his tracks. It has been over ten years and my abdomen is still hard as a rock @ times and has the most uglist scar. Have not found a surgeon that will touch me to repair this.

Gave me his opinion and let me give him mine. I had three surgeries with him. I had carpal tunnel surgery with him and the next time had a lump removed from my breast and my double chin removed. You can't find the scar on my wrist or breast and he put the one on my chin in an unobvious place. It was great with my breast surgery because I didn't have to have 2 surgeons like you usually do since he had previously been a general surgeon. Usually you have one surgeon to remove the cancer and then one for reconstruction. He can do both.

Appeared to listen to me, but obviously did not hear my clearly stated requests for desired end results of my surgury. Did not believe me when I stated suffering excessive pain after surgery. Let serious complicattions go unattended even after several requests for help. He finally became hostile and accusitory when confronted with these issues. In my opinion he is a very competent surgeon with terrible insensitivity toward patients and very poor listening skills. He makes snap judgements and strongly refuses to accept that he may have had an error in judgement.
