Dr. Neville Bamji, MD

He is caring compassion and was very accurate in my son's diagnosis.I am glad we went to him He personally follows up with his patients.

Dr. Bamji's office and Dr. Bamji are simply terrible. He seems efficient and caring but that's not the case. I was booked for a procedure; they sent me the wrong instructions 2 times. I finally got the correct prep for endoscopy; did the prep; showed up on time at Endoscopy Center 201 E.93rd NYC only to be SENT HOME. Disgraceful. It was obvious Dr. Bamji was overbooked, did not care, and had no time for my procedure. It didn't help that a woman 4 seats from me was crying at being kept waiting so long. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I never write reviews about doctors but I strongly felt the need to write a review about Dr. Bamji. I have Crohn’s disease since I was 18 years old. I had an ileostomy in 1996 and was Crohn’s free for about 23 years. Or at least asymptomatic. I have recently begun to experience symptoms of having the disease come back. I have chronic kidney disease and recently learned that I have coronary artery disease. These are overlapping conditions that make it very complicated to treat me. I was feeling very hopeful when I had the appointment to see Dr. Bamji. However after explaining all of my conditions he stopped me and said that I should be seen by an IBD specialist only! (He is an IBD specialist) He quickly referred me to another doctor at the Feinstein IBD clinic at Mount Sinai. My immediate reaction was that despite having 17 years of experience he felt unqualified to treat me. He referred me to a doctor who has 7 to 10 years of experience. This referral never worked out and I have an… appointment to see another doctor and hopefully this doctor won’t be threatened by all of my conditions. I am basically writing this review to alert and warn any patient who has multiple conditions NOT to see this doctor!

I saw Dr. Banji for a consultation and then eventually for a endoscopy/colonoscopy twofer. He was nothing short of fantastic. A) His office was very accommodating - Angelica and David were great. Angelica squeezed me in for an earlier appointment and David came up with prep that was agreeable and much easier to follow than that Golightly crap. B) New York Endoscopy Center is a clean, fully-serviced facility with kind and competent RNs and secretaries. C) Dr. Banji is one of the best doctors I've ever seen. He's brilliant and wise beyond his years. The only thing that may match his brilliance is his kind and gentle nature. He's personable, funny, witty and has exceptional bedside manners. Colonoscopies/endoscopies are never fun and the preps are easily the worst part, but if you're going to have it done, get it down with Dr. Bamji.

Dr. Bamji is one of the nicest men you will ever meet. Not only that he is a excellent GI. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and he help me get into and stay in remission. Always available by phone I had a issue after running a half marathon and congratulated me then scolded me for not talking to him b4 the race!

Dr. Bamji came highly recommended by doctors in my college's health center and I'm so happy with him and this office - he is so kind and so knowledgeable and you can tell that he really cares. This office is also great, they are very good at getting back to me, calling in prescriptions, and scheduling appointments. I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Neville Bamji is a living guardian angel. I have never met a doctor as compassionate caring and clearly from his stellar resume a medical genius. God bless Dr. Bamji and his wonderful staff.
