I probably should be dead. Some genetic hemochromatosis patients escape the brunt of the devastating effects it can have on your liver, heart, joints, everything. I seem to suffer them all. Dr. Afdhal made me laugh the first time I met him, he's been my friend ever since (15 years), he saved me and impressed the importance of continuing careful watching of all systems for possibilities of return of symptoms. He is brilliant, kind, and special - do not hesitate to affiliate yourself with this man and this hospital.

Dr. Afdhal treats me for a condition that shocked me because I never knew I had it and we had to guess how I got it. He is thorough, calming without treating me like a child, and has enabled me to live with this disease without obsessing about it all the time.

Dr Afdhal truly saved my husbands life. He inspired trust in both of us instantly and we knew that my husband was getting the very best of care. Now, two years after his treatment, my husband has a new lease on life and feels wonderful. Dr Afdhal is the rare combonation of a doctor who is both up to date on all the cutting edge medical developments and warm, caring and compassionate.

Appointments are often cancelled by this office at the last minute and the next appointment is usually 4-6 months out. Once you actually get there the way you are greeted and treated is top notch. Everyone is kind and caring...Dr.Afdhal is very caring and treats you like you are his only patient. I really trust him.
