Dr. Niama Jacobs, MD

Dr. Jacobs has helped me with medication management as I navigate anxiety. I specifically remember how kind and thoughtful she was during my first visit. That gave me the reassurance I needed. She was receptive to gradually increasing my dosage while monitoring my symptoms until we reached the correct amount. Medication has been instrumental in my symptom relief, allowing me to benefit from other therapeutic practices such as therapy. Dr. Jacobs also provided me with tips and strategies that helped prevent my symptoms from amplifying as we worked on management. Overall I have had a positive experience with Dr. Jacobs and her staff.

Dr. Jacobs for a psychiatrist has no empathy. She is not able to look past her own judgements to actually LISTEN to her patients. It makes sense why she is an ER psychiatrist and does not have a practice of her own. If you care about your family members, do not let Dr. Jacobs near them. She will just heavily medicate until she can pass them on to a more competent psychiatrist.

When scheduling an appointment a month and a half in advance its ridiculous to have it cancelled the day before with the next appointment option being another month away. I would not recommend this doctor or scheduling staff to walk my dog let alone take care of my health, unprofessional and heartless.

If I could give 0 stars I would... I was surprised with how cold, moody and emotionally distant she when I saw her. She refused to give me the correct dosages of my medication that I had been on for years prior to seeing her. Her words were offensive and accusatory for no reason.
