Dr. Niby Mathew, MD

I had been seeing a doctor here for a while and things were great for over a year. I was prescribed anti depressants and doing really well. Then, the pandemic hit and I couldn’t afford to go in for a check up since Covid left me without a job nor insurance. As well, I’m immunocompromised with asthma and they know that, so it’s a bad idea to go into the doctor . I called countless times to try and get them to work with me but they would no longer write my prescription til I paid for a check up with my doctor and came into the office downtown Chicago.. that obviously, I was unable to do. After zero accountability from Dr Niby and her staff, I’m currently experiencing severe withdrawals during the holidays..Puking, temp changes, brain zaps, weight loss, and hopelessness. Probably fine for most things to come here , but don’t expect them to actually care about your well being when it comes to it.

Dr. Mathew is extremely knowledgeable, caring, accommodating, and kind. She listens to her patients and works collaboratively. Every exam is thorough and comprehensive. She is a wonderful physician; highly recommend!

There isn't enough good things one can say about Dr. Mathew. She is very proficient, kind, caring and humble. She is very thorough, has excellent bed manners and has the ability to always make an accurate diagnosis and to prescribe the best medical treatment. I have been seeing Dr. Niby Mathews for a few years and I consider myself very fortunate to have her as my primary care physician. Without a doubt, she is an outstanding credit to her profession and to the medical field.

Dr. Matthew is an excellent doctor. I have been seeing her now for about 1 year. Dr. Matthew diagnosed my condition almost immediately. She ordered the necessary test and didn't hesitate to take an extra measure of caution to put me in the hospital when I experienced rectal bleeding. We first met her because the doctor our HMO assigned us to was unavailable and my husband needed an appointment right away. She took the time to listen, asked him pertinent questions and explained everything in plain English. Dr. Matthew got his blood pressure and vertigo symptoms under control. She was also effective in quickly getting him the medical documentation he needed for his job. Dr. Niby Matthew takes a holistic approach to healthcare and investigates your physical and mental wellbeing; she has a way about her that just puts you at ease because you can see how much she cares. I have relocated to another state but I still come back to Illinois to see her whenever I can. I am so amazed… because if I call and leave a message, whenever possible she calls me backs herself. Dr. Matthew gives you the feel of an old fashioned doctor with 21st century knowledge, high tech skill and she partners with you in your healthcare plan instead of dictating

Dr. Mathews is great! She cares, remembers my name. She has been by far the best primary doctor I have ever had. I barely ever have to wait to get into see her. She listens to me, takes in great consideration to what a problems or concerns I have. I generally do not have to wait to long if at all in the waiting room. Which is awesome. Fast, Accurate, Concern, and Caring.
