Dr. Nicholas Andrade, MEDICAL, DOCTOR, MD

Dr. Andrade has been great. Due to the nature of my problem I was of little to no help in diagnosing the problem and understanding the treatment plan. He explained clearly to my wife and took the time to make sure that she understood. The treatment plan required modification due to the progression of the disease and Dr. Andrade explained it to my wife and moved forward in a matter of hours. I am recovering quickly and Dr Andrade is a major reason for that. I will say that he is not chatty, but the man is extremely focused on what he is doing. That is not to say that he doesn't explain or communicate, but he is professional and was the first smiling face that I saw after surgery.

Dr. Andrade is an awesome provider. He takes the time to sit down and discuss your situation with you and explain everything in a detailed manner. It is nice seeing a provider who truly cares about your thoughts and helps you come to a reasonable decision about your care and involves you.

Had previous back surgery elsewhere. When released I was able to use a walker & walk with one leg. I wanted more. Andrade said 95% I'd be able to walk, toilet myself, and have my life back. Went back for follow up. Andrade said there was nothing else he could do, he blamed it on years of spinal cord injuries, yet I was able to use a walker when I went to see him. Almost 12 months now, and both legs are like wet noodles. I can't stand at all. I have more numbness, nerve & back pain that I have ever had. My whole life has been taken from me. I'll bet he wouldn't have let this happen to any of his family members. I feel he needs more experience & practice, but not on humans.

Visited Dr. Andrade twice before agreeing to have surgery. Wanted to assure myself of the procedure he would perform. Both visits he assured me " I would be greatly improved". Well...that was not true. In pain for a week. And I have a high tolerance to pain. No one in his office, nor him, called for a follow up to check on me. I finally called his office for a visit because of the excruciating pain. He suggested, after visit, "to get another opinion regarding surgery performed". I did. 2nd Dr. examination revealed more extensive surgery needed. 3rd DR. examination said same. After 60 days I'm in more pain than before Dr.Andrade performed surgery. And now have horrible sciatic nerve pain caused by his surgery. AND he has never taken time to follow up and its been 10 months since surgery. I would not refer him to anyone.

Did not feel he was thorough. Would have liked for him to go over my MRI with me w/explanation as to what it showed. Basic diagnosis was that my condition was not unusual for my age. I do not recall anyone having the same issues I have at my age or older. I have complete numbness in my knees & other areas, would have liked more of an explanation, complete numbness does not seem normal to me. When asked about pain, his statement was pain is a mysterious subject. Felt I was being rushed out.
