Never trust this guy, he looks very smart and experienced, believe me he is not. I was his patient for over 5 years with 2 major surgeries on my knee and femur, one worse than the other one. Finely found a doctor who fixed me with one surgery, I’m 100% now And walking pain free, you have more options believe me if you love yourself and your family get second or more opinions just because it’s UCLA it doesn’t mean it’s a good hospital

I was referred to Dr. Brenthal for a cyst growing in my femur bone. Of course it is a scary thing to have to see any physician who specializes in oncology. At my consult appointment he was professional, kind and empathetic. He is a good listener. He put me at ease with his easy going nature. I am fortunate to have received a great diagnosis - no cancer. He set up a rehabilitation plan for me to begin. I felt that I was in good hands being at UCLA and seeing Dr. Bernthal. Thank you!

Dr. Bernthal and his staff of nurses and anesthesiologists are absolutely top rate! Never have I had such an attentive, kind, caring, sincere doctor that was also so kind to my family. I have never felt dismissed by Dr. Bernthal. No question is unimportant to him and he never rushes. He takes all the time that you need to discuss your health issues. My 9 year old daughter was also very impressed with him, so much so that she initiated writing "thank you" notes to him and his staff. The medical field should use Dr. Bernthal as the TEMPLATE for what "patient care" should be. He is a rare gem!

Dr. Bernthal took amazing care of me. I had a very difficult condition to diagnose and he was able to figure it out and create a comprehensive treatment plan. He was extremely easy to talk to and understand. He was respectful and very caring towards me and my family. I am so grateful for Dr. Bernthal! My post operative appointments have also been important. He always answered my many questions and made me feel as if I were his only patient.
