Dr. Nicholas Andrew Kozlov, MD

In my first office visit with Dr. Kozlov for acute indigestion he was very abrupt and offered little information beyond my questions or comments. Several years before I had been diagnosed with acid reflux which I explained to him. I was in his office no longer than 15 minutes and was told I need a endoscopic procedure to see if there was damage to my esophagus. After having the procedure a nurse talked with me and said I would be call with the results. Someone called but I wanted more indepth information about the procedure and results. I then had to make an appointment to see Dr. Kozlov. Again my visit and the information provided was very brief and minimal in scope. I have acid reflux and when, several months after the procedure, I started having severe esophageal burning/chest pains and during one episode I called his office, talked with his nurse and described my symptoms. Then nurse immediately sent me to the emergency room. His nurse said he was on call in… the hospital that day and to have him paged. I asked the emergency room nurse to page to page him but I never saw him and he never checked with me during the 3 day stay in the hospital. Nor has he followed up with me after I was released from the hospital. I have since changed doctors and would NOT recommend him.

Dr Koslov does not appreciate being asked any questions prior to a procedure unless they are directly related to that procedure. His bedside manner is short and impatient. Fortunately he has a courteous staff. I've had three interactions with him over a span of about ten years and he is always the same. I will be seeking a new gastroenterologist.

I am a senior citizen who has partialhearing loss along with predominant tinitus in both ears. I am very comfortable visiting Dr. Kozlov because because he makes an effort to sit close by, facing me, while he speaks so well to me so that I am able to hear and understand what he is telling me.

I would highly recommend him. Thorough and professional. Listened to all my concerns. His answers were v. detailed. Spent a great amount of time with me. I did not feel the least bit rushed. Don't expect hugs and kisses but other wise his bedside manner was excellent.
