Dr. Nicholas Jonathan Meyer, MD

Dr. Meyer was my GP for 5 years. I have several chronic conditions that require specialist care so I have encountered my fair share of doctors throughout my life. Dr. Meyer is the best doctor I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable, up to speed on research, and puts patient care first. Dr. Meyer is very kind and I felt comfortable discussing sensitive topics with him. I have recommended him to everyone I know, especially women who have had a hard time having doctors take them seriously. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Meyer.

I got connected with Dr. Meyer through Penn State for psychiatric care. From the first visit, I felt extremely connected to Dr. Meyer. He has made me feel understood in a time where I did not know how to properly communicate my struggles. Dr. Meyer has always made me feel comfortable to be open and honest, which is essential for getting better. Dr. Meyer has left an incredible mark on my life and I would not be in such a positive place as I am in today without him. I highly recommend Dr. Meyer and will greatly miss his care when I leave Penn State.

At 3:35 called uhs and had scheduled an appointment for 4:20 the same day showed up at 4:22 and waited for the nurse to come and take temperature and answered her covid questions. Signed in at 4:26 and needed to get a nurse to call doctor and see if he'd still honor the appointment. He refused to see me. Yes I admit I was late due to the last second scheduling of the appointment but it's quite ridiculous that he completely refused to see me given that what I was forwould have taken just a few minutes. This might be why he was the only doctor at UHS with last minute time slots. I rescheduled with a different doctor. I would avoid this doctor. Front desk ladies were really apologetic as though they understood that this doctor was ridiculous.

Dr. Meyer is an exceptional doctor. He gets to know you as an individual and considers you as a person when treating you as a patient. He listens actively, explains information thoroughly, and is someone you feel completely comfortable sharing with and asking questions of. I can't say enough good things!

I started seeing Dr Meyer during my first(and only so far) pregnancy and it has been nothing but a joy! Dr Meyer made sure my birth plan was followed and that both me and baby were taken care of. I always feels like a person, not a number, in his office. His nurse Jen is just as amazing and I just can't say enough good things about them. On top of that, my husband has made the comment that he would not trust anyone else with the care of his wife. If that doesn't say enough I don't know what will.

Dr. Meyer is very dedicated to the whole person he is treating, not just the condition or reason for the visit. He is very knowledgeable and well versed in his chosen field, while also able to admit when he needs to find out more before answering a question. He reads his patients well and maintains calm in stressful situations. My pregnancy was stressful and I valued his ability to make me aware of potential problems without scaring me or leaving me feeling that we weren't prepared. His manner is reassuring without being patronizing. I have never been treated by another doctor whose judgement I trusted more.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Meyer. He is extremely friendly, personable and detailed. The amount of time he takes to ensure that his patients fully understand their medical issues is astonishing! The same applies to his nurse, Jennifer. I have NEVER received better medical treatment. I leave his office feeling like I've spent time with a friend.

Dr. Meyer is very thorough. He will also spend the time to explain things to make sure you understand. He is awesome!

I just loved Dr. Meyer during my pregnancies.
