Dr. Nicholas Ken Muraoka, DO

Walked in seeking a cortisone shot, was recommended to do a nerve ablation. Every other doctor I’ve talked to was aghast at why someone would carry out a nerve ablation for what I was going through. 8 months down the line I suffer acute nerve pain and radiating pain at the site of the Nerve ablation injection, which was an entirely new area of pain from where I was originally experiencing symptoms. A friendly, persuasive outward disposition does not always equate to wise medical decisions on the part of the doctor, and as someone who trusted this clinic and came out the other side with more bills and more pain than ever before I can say confidently that I would not trust nor recommend this clinic for pain management. I would seek out other places on island and always get a second opinion.

For someone who is suppose to be a pain specialist, find it hard to believe that this guy is certified in pain management yet advises a patient who has reduced GFR levels to use a topical NSAID. Hellooooo doc, this crosses the skin barrier and leeches into the blood.

Dr Muraoka is a listening clinician, thurough and excellent. I have had great care both in and out of the hospital with him heading up my physiatry team!
