Dr. Nicholas Joseph Yokan, MD

I had a car accident 15 years ago where I hit a patch of black ice, my vehicle did a 180 hit the dry ground on the rear driver's side and flipped end over end 4x, my left arm went into the driver's side window and dislocated my elboe, severed it at the elbow and desleeved it. Dr. Yokan was the orthopedic surgeon on call that morning, I was in surgery for almost 8 hours. The following day, he came to check on me and he said that I almost lost my left arm at the elbow, but that he was able to save it. I really think that the training he received while he was in the military is what really saved my arm, that and the fact that Dr. Yokan really knows what he's doing. If I could talk to him today, I would thank him and show him what I have been able to do since I last saw him. Sharon (Barrett) Jones
