Dr. Nichole P. Mcdonald, MD, FACOG

It's sad when nursing states, "When Dr. McDonald come on she will probably induce." Why is that automatically a given with her. Especially a first pregnancy that was only in labor for 7 hrs. Labor was induced and it started going downhill. Dr. McDonald examined my wife once throughout the day and when making the decision to perform a C-section she thought it would be comforting to let us know that "C-sections is what she does and she is great at it" Nothing wrong with a skilled surgeon but was this major decision decided based purely on her preference? By the way, she did not examine my wife's progress when making this decision. She just assumed the nurse's progress from examination would be no progress in her eye. Not objective, not skill based, and completely bias. Not once through the process was she compassionate or even pretended to be. I could go on with quotes that were just unbelievable, but when a Dr. makes you feel like your child will die soon because of the… medication that was being administered to induced you have to make the tough decision to make sure your child is safe. We will never use Lexington Women's Care again if they still use the rotating Physician system and she is still there. Everyone else from the Lexington office was great.

I saw Dr McDonald when I became pregnant with my second child. She misdiagnosed me with Hepatitis C (a scary thing to hear when you are pregnant). Because I had never engaged in risky behavior that typically transmits that disease, I questioned her diagnosis multiple times, but she was dismissive and closed-minded to my arguments. I finally saw a specialist who shook his head at her diagnosis, and explained that I likely got a false positive from the “inexpensive” test she used to diagnosis me, which was more susceptible to inaccuracies. Furthermore, when she told me I had the disease, she told me I would be on medications the rest of my life and would “likely” remain healthy if I stayed medicated. A little Googling informed me that there are several, very effective cures for Hep C now (which she seemed TOTALLY unaware of). I’ve had a number of blood draws over the past year just to be on the safe side, and I definitely do NOT have Hep C. Dr. McDonald was irresponsible with her… diagnosis and lacked education and sensitivity to her patient. When I first told her that the specialist said he was 99.999% sure I didn’t have it, she just laughed and said “Oh, sorry to give you a heart attack!” And that was it! No sincere apology. She LAUGHED. I was so distraught over the initial diagnosis that my mother flew across the country to be with me. I could not believe she LAUGHED at her misdiagnosis. I wouldn’t trust this person with ANYTHING, let alone the birth of my child. I strongly discourage anyone from using her for medical care.

I just visited Dr. McDonald yesterday and she is amazing! She is a very down-to-earth and professional woman who really cares about her patients. It is obvious that she is highly intelligent and has a wonderful knack of explaining everything you ask in layman's terms. She is compassionate, kind and has a great sense of humor. I am so happy to have found her!! She is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
