Dr. Nicholas Newton Gowen, MD

The attending doctor in the ER was a HEADACHE!!!! My daughter has been seen in the ER twice in a week. The attending doctor the first and second time where rude as H___!!!!! The attending doctor in the ER told me that he would go ahead and start the admission paper work for... "That child"... Mind you..... myself, my sick 11 yr old daughter and my 15 yr old daughter we are all in the room with him at the time when he is saying this! I told him that my daughter has a name and that she was not a "THAT", she has a name!! After we were checked in and my daughter was taken to her room the next day we had been assigned to another attending doctor, (Nick Gowen) and he was being disrespectful to me and my daughter as well, he also refused to treat my daughter and told me in front of the Social Worker for Arkansas Children's Hospital that he didn't want to hear anything I had to say. I was trying to ask him what did he think my daughter was sick from, he became very irritated and acted like he… wanted to punch the wall. He was very unprofessional and he discharged my daughter without having a diagnose's. The nursing staff was great they called the social worker that worked for Arkansas Children's Hospital and they made a report to the Social Worker, I wish I could say that we left the hospital knowing what happen to my daughter because the doctor never came into examine my daughter we have now been discharged and still do not know what is wrong with my daughter!!!! I would not recommend anyone or any parent to bring there child to this hospital!! Just because this hospital specialized in helping children I thought it would be great to bring my daughter there. I will never bring my child back there! The doctors are RIDICULOUS!!!!!
