Dr Nicola Kim Berman

First visit only. I have seen several doctors regarding my condition. Dr. Berman was the first one to explain the condition, including prognosis and possible treatments and to order extensive tests that I was not given before. She answered all of my questions, listened to my prior history and did not rush the exam. her technician, was very professional and courteous. Her receptionist was very rude towards me. Because of Covid19 I had on a mask and gloves. She seemed to have an attitude towards me. The receptionist had her mask on with her nose exposed. When I came in she placed it under her chin leaving her mouth and nose exposed for the duration of my wait in the waiting room (30 minutes.) She gave me a clip board with forms and a pen. She accepted both back from me and placed them back from where she took them without wiping them down. She then left the room and returned eating an ice cream on a stick which she ate in front of me and the other patient in the waiting room (who… also was not wearing a mask. The receptionist took my insurance cards and photocopied them with one hand while holding her ice cream pop in her other hand. I felt very unsafe. I shared this with the Dr. after the appt. who said she understood my concern and would speak to the receptionist.

Dr. Berman is extremely intelligent and professional.
